Mario Teaches Typing was a 1939 Japanese eroge published by Emperor Hirohito for the PC browser to train Japanese soldiers the 'hunt and peck' method of typing. This method led to the friendly treatment of the Chinese people by the Japanese soldiers during their invasion of the mainland during World War II. Multiple high profile people in the Japanese military and elsewhere perfected the method, including both Iwane 'Savior of the Chinese' Matsui and Jeffrey Epstein. The goal of the game is to type a fanfiction which the protagonist, Mario, reads and reacts to. The goal of the game is for Mario to hit climax with his hand moving at the speed the player types.

Developement[edit | edit source]

Mario Teaches Typing was an eroge developed by Natural High and is a typing game which is characterized by typing in the story prompt as fast as possible. In the game Princess Peach is angry that Mario isn't giving her enough magical paste and suggests he reads stories to try to get him to succeed. The first level is intentionally meant to be failed as to kickstart the plot, although speedrunners have found that by hitting 217 WPM while typing she will be satisfied and the credits will roll. The levels have a WPM speed needed to be passed starting at 10 WPM and by level 50 you must have a typing speed of 120 WPM to finish the game.
