Everyone will accidentally break something in their life. Other than breaking up with your GF/BF, a common thing to break is your phone or tablet screen. Using your device with a broken screen can make typing difficult, and may also cut your fingers. Paying for repair is very expensive. However, this is something you can actually do at home. This guide will explain everything on fixing the screen by yourself.

Method 1: Using toothpaste[edit | edit source]

Toothpaste is not only great for cleaning your teeth, but it is also very good for filling in cracks for fixing scratched CDs and fixing your cracked screen.

Step 1: Clean your screen[edit | edit source]

For best results, wipe down your screen using sulphuric acid. This will cause any gunk to disappear.

Step 2: Add some toothpaste[edit | edit source]

Squirt a decent amount of toothpaste onto the screen. Make sure you have enough to cover the entire screen.

Step 3: Rub in the toothpaste[edit | edit source]

Rub the toothpaste all over the screen. Make sure to work it into the cracks.

Step 4: Wait 3,600,000 milliseconds[edit | edit source]

Step 5: Wash the screen with water[edit | edit source]

For best results, soak it in a toilet for a few minutes. Then wipe off the toothpaste

Method 2: Using super glue[edit | edit source]

Step 1: Clean your screen[edit | edit source]

For the superglue method, cleaning your screen is necessary. Wipe down your screen using sulphuric acid. This will cause any gunk to disappear.

Step 2: Open the super glue[edit | edit source]

Screw on the cap. This will break the foil seal. If the foil seal does not break, stab it with a knife.

WARNING: Do not get super glue on your skin. It will cause your skin to be super sticky for the rest of your life.

Step 3: Fill in the cracks[edit | edit source]

Add super glue to the cracks and fill them in.

Step 4: Wait 1,800,000 milliseconds[edit | edit source]

Done[edit | edit source]

Now the cracks are gone!

Method 3: You don't need to deal with your broken screen[edit | edit source]

If you are too lazy, then just get rid of the screen. Now you don't need to bother fixing it.

Step 1: Hit it a couple times with a hammer[edit | edit source]

This will break up the glass, making it easily removable.

Step 2: Scrape off the glass[edit | edit source]

Using a putty knife, scrape off the glass. Make sure to get all pieces off.

Step 3: Cut off the LCD[edit | edit source]

Use an X-ACTO knife to cut away the LCD. Therefore, you won't have to deal with a damaged LCD that may have been damaged when removing the glass.

Now with no screen, you won't ever break the screen. And you don't even need to deal with fixing it.
