Grow a Garden is a free to play online multiplayer gardening game developed by a racist developer who goes by the name “Jandel”. It is one of the most popular and boring games on Robe locks. Grow a garden tries to sell you on the idea that being a slave from Virginia in the 1800’s is fun. All you do in the game is the labor intensive task of growing plants you can’t eat which is supposed to be fun and engaging. The whole idea of the game is just to grow plants and sell them and get money you can't even use for anything.

Gameplay[edit | edit source]

You start off with an empty farm and very few Sheckles as usual. You use these Sheckles to buy some carrot seeds that slowly become worthless as you become rich. After planting these carrot seeds, you simply do the extremely stimulating task of waiting for 1 minute. After that minute passes, you harvest the carrots and sell them, in exchange for more Sheckles and plants with higher value which look nothing like real plants. There is a shop that randomly changes its stock every 3 minutes which allows players to obtain more plants. There are even events were the moon turns red and makes plants grow faster. Players have been complaining about the simplicity and repetitive nature of the game. Some players just don’t get the game at all.

Players can also experience the thrill of gambling in-game currency away with their dad’s credit card. Players gamble for “pets” which can decrease how long plants take to grow by a staggering one second.

The repetitive gameplay is mostly caused by the owner (Jandel) being a filthy capitalist and bring excessive monetization into the game.

Development[edit | edit source]

The game was crafted by 16 year old BMWlux (He will never own a BMW) who can’t do basic math that put in a lot of “work” and definitely just didn’t use assets off of Sketchfab.

Don’t worry, the game's “investors” (really just 10 year olds that read one book on the stock market) at Jandel's Splitting Up Studios saw the game and wanted to improve it. Jandel is totally not exploiting the kid for profit. BMWlux agreed because he wanted to prove that playing video games was a real job to his parents before they kick him out of the house.

The revenue of the game is kept secret by Jandel but it’s rumored that he doesn’t give nickel to BMWlux.

Feud with Steal a Brainrot[edit | edit source]

GaG's extreme popularity led to some guy named SCAMMY SAMMY creating Steal a Brainrot which is a shameless copy of Grow a Garden. Expect for the fact that you have a base and you steal Italian Brainrot characters such as Tralalero Tralala to make children cry. This lead to 5 year old dressing up as green beans in Grow a Garden and a very epic admin war with Jandel and SCAMMY SAMMY!!!

Reception[edit | edit source]

GaG is very popular among a LOT of iPad kids because of the limited events and Robux microtransactions along with its copy, Steal a Brainrot for whatever reason. Maybe they're too n00b enough to play better games such as FORSAKEN[citation needed], Combat Initiation and Natural Disaster Survival. Grow a Garden has also seen its fair share of controversy like gambling and the game being a slavery simulator for 4 year olds. The game has been criticized for being rushed and lacking engagement. Other criticized aspects of the game are how the developer is giving kids and addiction to the game with manipulative aspects and excessive monetization.
