Forum:Deleting Crappy Images
Ok, n00b question, how do I get rid of all the crappy images I've uploaded? --Dute 17:01, 9 July 2006 (UTC)
- Ask an admin. They'll delete it for you. If they're in a nice mood. Which is rare. Luckily, it's FFW so they'll do it anyway. ~ 17:03, 9 July 2006 (UTC)
would it not make sence to make a templete for it? like NRV but for pictures--Sir Silent Penguin "your site makes no sence" The illusion is complete 17:32, 9 July 2006 (UTC)
- If you created it in error, just drop it on QVFD. No template needed. --Carlb 17:38, 9 July 2006 (UTC)
its was just a suggestion of simplyfing the system, the current is a bit confusing at first.--Sir Silent Penguin "your site makes no sence" The illusion is complete 17:43, 9 July 2006 (UTC)
- The reason there is no QVFD template is that adding the template to the page means that when an admin comes to delete it, there is a message saying "This page has history. Are you sure you want to delete it?" or something like that, so they say. ~ 17:46, 9 July 2006 (UTC)
fair engough i guess, is there no way of getting a template to override that?--Sir Silent Penguin "your site makes no sence" The illusion is complete 17:53, 9 July 2006 (UTC)
- Not really, if MediaWiki:Historywarning is part of the MediaWiki software. There's also the problem that, if a page is deleted while someone is editing it (even to add any {{delete this garbage}} templates), the edit will recreate the page with the person adding the template listed as the original author. --Carlb 17:56, 9 July 2006 (UTC)
it was just an idea to simlpfy, oh well.--Sir Silent Penguin "your site makes no sence" The illusion is complete 18:01, 9 July 2006 (UTC)
