“Is this a copy of phpBB?”

~ James Atkinson (owner of phpBB)

Discourse is a modern, free & open source parody of phpBB. When parodying, it uses 39% of parodymium, some others use parodymium like an encyclopedia which parodies Uncyclopedia. It requires a Linux server for production use. If you do not have a server, you can use Flarum, another parody of phpBB. Unlike phpBB, which makes you pay millions of dollars for most of the modern themes and no report button, Discourse comes with a modern theme preloaded and has a feature for moderators & admins to flag people like you automatically at 99.999% of the time.

History[edit | edit source]

In 2013, Jeff Atwood invented rubyBB, later changed to just Discourse, the amazing free forum software.

Discourse 2.0[edit | edit source]

In Discourse 2.0, Jeff added more features. Here is some of them.

Weather: Check the free weather.[edit | edit source]

Free weather is added.

Trust Levels: Trust people that lie.[edit | edit source]

Trust Levels are avaliable on 9:00 PM tomorrow.

Wiki posts: The free posts that anyone can edit.[edit | edit source]

Wiki posts parodies Uncyclopedia. Why you need a server just get a wiki.

Only forum owners, moderators, and admins can create a wiki post which is bad. Unlike Uncyclopedia which anyone can create a page. Not post, page.
