hey tags, i noticed you asked for some thoughts from me on this a while back, and it got a little lost in the shuffle of my talkpage. i blame orian. anyway, i liked it! orian mentioned that attenborough fellow, who i believe narrates the british version. when they shipped it to the US they got sigourney weaver (of ghostbusters and alien fame) to do the narration, so that's the voice i heard when i read it. as such, i think a disclaimer at the top identifying the narrator (attenborough if the reader is british, weaver if the reader is american) would be both humorous and practical.
as for the content itself, the tone was very documentary-ish, which was excellent. i've only seen one or two planet earth episodes, and that was about a year ago, but as i recall your overall approach was very close to the show. excellent again. this series is also rather popular from what i gather; a third 'excellent'. i see this is a work in progress, and i encourage you to keep at it. throw some images on there, one at the start of each section should do. also, you need a more official intro and a conclusion. my advice is to round it out to a full article, then get it pee'd and see what kind of feedback you get then. good job! 14:07, 8 May 2009 (UTC)
