I think there is already another thread that mentions this. I had a quick look - it's kind of sad, really - there's one or two users over there still plugging away, making articles that no-one cares about, without any competition or reverting of their edits or flame-wars... Our "focus" on condemning Encyclop*dia Dramatica stems from the occasional moron who stumbles upon Uncyc, gets upset at the lack of smut, and writes stuff like Forum:I hate Uncyclopedia and Forum:So you don't like Encyclopedia Dramatica. Although most Uncyc members consider ED to be lower than common toilet bacteria, our quarrel with them is basically nonexistent. We care about ED, indeed. First time I heard about ED in uncyc's IRC channel and went there to check it out, I was disgusted, that was some very low shit I wouldn't have wanted to know about. But today I can reconginize the huge service ED does to uncyclopedia. If there wasn't for ED, more people would come here to add that type of content. I run uncyclopedia's spanish sister, and let me tell you, I really wish there was a spanish ED to send there all the crappy ED style editors we get. I've actually recommended some of them to go and fund one.

Besides, the best way to define the identity of a person, a group or any other signifier, is to say what that signifier is not. ED makes it easier for us to point what we are not, hence, they contribute to define what we are.---Asteroid B612 (aka Rataube) - Ñ 04:06, 25 February 2007 (UTC)

ED Sucks

Why are you people even mentioning that...that thing?! ED sucks! I mean, what editor out there can't edit things on different lines without making you insert a command? I don't know what that thing is still the standard Unix text editor! ED deserves to die! You can't even write in ED without ripping your eyeballs out of their sockets, dipping them in chlorine, etc. Even worse is its lack of output. I mean, what help is a question mark when you type something wrong? How do you know when to exit the program when it displays a question mark? It makes you think you typed in something wrong! --~
