I propose Asteroid Week, where, against all odds, admins will not delete(except under emergency circumstances) for a week, and instead try to rewrite stuff coming in, or write new things. The idea is to get some creative stuff flowing, which admins hardly have a chance to do. After that week, there may be a forest fire week. What if you split it into two weeks, during the first one half of the staff stop purging and the second one the other half stops. That way we wouldnt have to face a total flood of crap and we'll still have all the admins writing instead of huffing for a complete week.--Rataube 00:33, 23 March 2006 (UTC)

Maybe i didnt express myself correctly: It's the admins list you split, not the week. First week half the staff write and the other half keeps burning, second week they they exchange roles.--Rataube 00:39, 23 March 2006 (UTC)

I am hesitant to agree. I mean, what is an emergency? Would this be an attempted rewrite? Would my schoolmate is gay type articles? I need to retire from deleting, but stuff like this keeps coming up :( .... --Splaka 06:46, 23 March 2006 (UTC)

Let me propose a slightly different way of approaching the matter; VFD can go on hiatus and NRV deletions will be delayed during the specified period of time. Also, let's wait a little and coincide Asteroid Week with the Uncyclopedia writing competition, which should be kicking off on April Fool's. --Sir gwax (talk) 15:00, 24 March 2006 (UTC)
