CeVIO

CeVIO (チェビオ, pronounced che-ˈvē-ˈo, you dumb fucks) is the bootleg bastard version of Vocaloid. Unlike Vocaloid, however, the software is capable of producing speech synthesis as well. However, what made it really popular is its demo version which you can't download anymore, unfortunately. Some characters are capable of speaking while others are capable of singing. Others do both. The software's initial popularity started with Sato Sasara being the first vocal, but it really didn't take off until 2021 when KAFU was released and the company behind it was really good at promoting. So it was a hit.

Notable Vocaloids that have moved on to Vocaloid include Yuzuki Yukari, IA and Flower. Although no one likes Flower's design for that engine.

CeVIO Creative Studio[edit | edit source]

Sato Sasara[edit | edit source]

Your average otaku who likes anime and video games. She likes desserts like ice cream, and was pivotal for CeVIO's popularity when it first launched in 2013. Apparently when she was first launched she was looking for jobs. Well turns out she already has one, which is singing and presenting stuff, I guess. Due to her unexpected popularity, she also has Rule 34 entries, which is very surprising to westerners alike when they first search her name.

Suzuki Tsudumi[edit | edit source]

The less popular Sasara. She didn't get a singing voice until she did some singing lessons in which her Song Voice got added into her AI voicebank. Everything about her seems to be private and were secrets until her AI voicebank got released. Again, since she's not popular this also means she has less Rule 34 entries.

Takahashi Amato[edit | edit source]

What did you expect? More secrets? Well Takahashi used to have his first name be unrevealed until it was revealed to be Amato, and no one knew it was his first name. You can make him sing but that should require some tuning, at least. Seriously, no one cares about him too.

ONE[edit | edit source]

IA's sister. Her name's not pronounced the way it should be. Instead it's pronounced like "Oh-Neh". Otherwise, she's more popular than the vocals before her. But that's because, you know.

Akasaki Minato[edit | edit source]

One of the Color Voice vocals and the representative of the color red. He seems to like microphones, and gets scared when he doesn't have one. Unfortunately his voice seems to be low-quality, but that is how it is at the time. He literally looks like a millenial, which makes sense. In the end he ended up getting purged from the CeVIO space because the developers didn't care about him for several years. His punishment was that he would be barred from using a microphone forever.

Midorizaki Kasumi[edit | edit source]

The complementary voice to Minato. She is representative of the color green. True to her color, she likes cleaning up and saving the environment. Kasumi gets extremely excited whenever she sees a trash can. But that didn't go well in 2023 when she ended up literally getting recycled...in a garbage truck.

Ginsaki Yamato[edit | edit source]

A stern, caring man in his 50s. He likes drinking alcohol. He's also representative of the color silver. Or gray. Or grey. Who cares at this point? In the beginning of 2023, his punishment after the Color Voice series vocals were going to be discontinued was alcohol poisoning.

Kinzaki Koharu[edit | edit source]

Arguably the hardest Color Voice vocal to be used. She doesn't really work well for other genres. But maybe she's too old for other genres. Anyways she's the representative of the color gold. Maybe it was yellow. Her punishment when she got discontinued was basically a sacrifice to the gods and goddesses.

Shirosaki Yuudai[edit | edit source]

Quite possibly the most boring Color Voice vocal ever. He is the representative of the color white. He could be versatile, unlike the last two vocals released. All he likes to do is read and that is it. He has been gone ever since he got crushed by a bookshelf.

Kizaki Airi[edit | edit source]

The final Color Voice Vocal ever released. She is the youngest of them, and is representative of the color orange. Dunno about you, but this has to be one of the most weirdest color combinations the developers had made up. You can tell that she looks like MEIKO just by her hair. As she is the final Color Voice vocal to die, her punishment was to be sprayed with poison.

HAL-O-ROID[edit | edit source]

Wait...his voice provider's dead? Well, they got away with it. At least. If he was an AI vocal then there could be some criticism. However using his voice could end up with shitty songs that you've made.

CeVIO AI[edit | edit source]

This is the version that got CeVIO more popularity than their regular counterparts.

Tohoku Kiritan[edit | edit source]

The more freer Tohoku sister. She's basically everywhere at this point, even though she's not even a Vocaloid. However, she's also had a fair share of Rule 34 images. Also...she's 11. FBI OPEN UP!

KAFU[edit | edit source]

Ahh yes...that's what I expected.

We've made it to the point where there could be a vocal more popular than Hatsune Miku. Based on the virtual singer KAF, she is arguably the most popular of her clique. Most of the songs featuring her have at least 100,000 views on YouTube and/or other platforms. If your song featuring her doesn't have this many views, then you're embarrassed at this point. That's because she has good marketing. If this were some kind of popularity contest, KAFU would win at this point. Maybe for having the biggest vocal synth release since others like Miku and Flower. She's just too good! Anyways, she's getting a Synthesizer V vocal in the future.

FEE[edit | edit source]

After her release, nobody cared about her. But you might not know this, but she was 17 and had a model that could have her underwear removed. This was so bad that whoever promoted FEE aged her up and now you can't remove her underwear. I sense the feds are going to come at this point.

ROSA[edit | edit source]

You thought that one of CUL's sisters was going to have a Synthesizer V voicebank? Well, turns out her CeVIO was done first. She also might've had an English voicebank at some point for both but I guess that's not happening. Too bad it's a fiasco for her. Hey, at least she's kinda popular...right?

Tohoku Itako[edit | edit source]

The older Tohoku sister. She is secretly a nine-tailed fox. Itako is also part of some kind of cult where she performs rituals in order to free her spirits. All you can say is that she's the most Bat Fuck Insane sister of them all.

SEKAI[edit | edit source]

Originally was supposed to launch in May 2022. She instead got released a month early. SEKAI has some kind of success to KAFU, but not as much. Based on Isekaijoucho, at least it was shortened.

RIME[edit | edit source]

Her voice provider is named RIM. That's also the name of her virtual YouTuber persona. She easily gets mistaken for KAFU. If only were she was the one to turn back time...

Futaba Minato[edit | edit source]

Akasaki Minato's evil twin. If she were a Color Voice vocal she could've been the representative of the color blue. Thankfully she was not a Color Voice vocal. She's slowly gaining popularity, and she's kinda underrated, not gonna lie. But let's be real, she will be more popular in the future.

POPY[edit | edit source]

Isn't that basically Toyama Kasumi from BanG Dream? Well, that's basically her. Except that her voice is the result of all members of Poppin'Party. The sounds were also absorbed to her. It's just an AI after all...

ROSE[edit | edit source]

The emo version of POPY. She is supposed to be Minato Yukina's CeVIO persona. But that's not the case as that's the result of all members of Roselia. It's also well known that she's a goth. About that? Well, now you know.

COKO[edit | edit source]

The furry of the Musical Isotope series. She also has a different illustrator, unlike the other 3 girls. This is very inconsistent. Why couldn't they keep the same illustrator? Wouldn't that make sense? Her voice provider, is, you guessed it, Koko.

#kzn[edit | edit source]

There's no way that there could be a vocal synth whose name begins with a hashtag. That's just a ploy to have her name appear more. You should also know that she's voiced by Kizuna Ai. Currently Ai is in hibernation mode so there's no guarantee on when she will be back. Ai is also a well known VTuber and also a pioneer of said trend so what did you expect? Popularity? Being more popular than KAFU is quite impossible at this point.

Kanato Mell[edit | edit source]

A VTuber turned CeVIO. She's not very well known to say at least, but this VTuber isn't that popular unlike the others. Maybe if you could watch her streams more that would make sense. Otherwise she's the pink version of Eleanor Forte, but in Japanese.

REML[edit | edit source]

Her full name is Decentralized Autonomous Golem REML. I am not kidding. But basically she's a clone of another character from DENONBU that basically shares the same design as her. Literally she's everywhere at this point. If you buy her you are one of the customers that have purchased a clone.

HARU[edit | edit source]

The final Musical Isotope character to be released. She's also a rapper as well. They even got the same illustrator for the first 3 characters, as well as her, but not COKO. Come on already. This was a huge mistake. Granted, that illustrator could've had some kind of break. But maybe at least do something about it?

VoiSona[edit | edit source]

Chis-A[edit | edit source]

Another somewhat popular CeVIO vocal. First introduced as the only vocal for CeVIO Pro, you can tell that her style is camp. Make no mistake and her clothes are now more prettier. But that's only in the English version. Otherwise, she looks like she is poor.

Kirune[edit | edit source]

You thought he would blow up? Well, even though he's based on a popular J-Rock singer, that doesn't mean anything. It doesn't help that the band he's based on does satirical content. At least there has to be something to make him blow up. Like really.

AiSuu[edit | edit source]

Also based on a band, you might remember this color scheme from somewhere. That is right, Ayame's color scheme is nearly the same as AiSuu. Not even joking. Except they were released one year apart. She's also less popular.

MYK-IV[edit | edit source]

MYK-4 is also an alternative name. He's unlike the others in which he's based on a Vocaloid producer. Seems like logic for a Vocaloid producer to voice a CeVIO vocal. Wouldn't that make sense?

Tanaka San[edit | edit source]

After 10 years, we finally found who controls CeVIO. She is the one who works at the same company as the CeVIO developers. Somehow she manages to collect nothing but umbrellas. If that's what she wants, then sure. But why umbrellas?

Reception[edit | edit source]

Even with the amount of controversy that they've gotten over the years, the CeVIO project neverthless ended up being successful in the 2020s. They were also near close to being bankrupt, but that never happened. One of their voices, KAFU went on to have lots of songs made and become the next Hatsune Miku. Except Miku's more popular anyways.
