Underated[edit source]
Oh come now young man, the bass is a rare and underated instrument. Truly the only people who believe the extent of the bass lies in playing the same note on the same fret whilst playing in a humdrum band for all time are either American or crap at every musical instrument they have ever picked up. Take for example John Entwhistle of The Who or Stephen Harris of Iron Maiden. I suppose a person such as yourself imagine the bass as a simple and uninteresting thing because that person is talentless in all areas, and most likely staring at the barrel of a gun they are holding and wondering 'Why Not?' To conclude, I'm afraid that you are likely in the wrong in this circumstance, and I recommend that, if you DO play bass then try harder and impress yourself; perhaps with a bit of practice you'll become only half an idiot. And if you DON'T play bass then don't knock it untill you have tried it. Douche. No, I'm not very funny. 16:45 12 April 2010 (UTC)
