At Uncyclopedia, writing articles is not a requirement, but it certainly is a fun and easy way to express your creativity. To write an article, it's recommended that you start it in your userspace (for example, User:Wildcatherder/Article about stuff) so you can edit it at your leisure. If you decide to create it in the cold world of mainspace, make sure it is in accordance with the policies laid out above, and if you're not done put the "Work-In-Progress" template - {{construction}} - onto it as well.
If you need help, ask me on my talk page, ask at the Dump, or ask an administrator on their talk page. Additionally, the Uncyclopedian Adopt-a-Noob program is there to bring experienced editors straight to you. Simply put {{adoptme}} on your Userpage to join. Again, welcome! -- Lieutenant THEDUDEMAN Dude ... Totally UOTM KUN GotA F@H 20:28, 1 July 2008 (UTC)
Reviews[edit source]
Hey Wildcatherder, just a quick word, if I may. Thanks for taking the time to do a couple of pee reviews - we really do appreciate people who try to help out. If you feel like doing any more, can I show you the guide to peeing? Thing is, people tend to go to pee review in search of plenty of feedback, suggestions of what to improve, change, lose etc, and reviews with one line per box don't really give them that. Just thought I'd mention it, as I'm sure if you're giving time to help others, you'd like to know you're not wasting that time! Thanks and good luck around the site! --UU - natter 10:24, Jul 6
Wildcatherder says, since I could not find a simple "comment" link associated with an article, I used the PeeReview to provide encouragement to an author I appreciated. I received one of those detailed PeeReviews myself. The person did give me a good idea of the average attention to detail and education of Uncyclopedia readers but it seems that one could simply rewrite another's article rather than providing paragraphs of criticism on each parameter. I have been a professional comedian and a technical writer and have a pretty good idea of what I was trying to do, so the venue was just wrong. As a writer I find Uncyclopedia funny, rough-around-the-edges, and takes-itself-awfully-seriously for humor. Thanks for the experience.
