Welcome![edit source]
Hello, Who1sit, and welcome to Uncyclopedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. If not, the door's right over there... no, a little more to your left... yeah. Anyway, here are a few good links for people like you:
- Beginner's Guide
- Our Vanity Policies - why we don't care about your friends
- How to be funny and not just stupid
If you read anything at all, make it the above three links. If you want to find out more about Uncyclopedia or need more help with something, try these:

- How to get started editing on uncyclopedia
- Help Pages - if you need help with a specific issue
I hope you enjoy editing here and being an Uncyclopedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~) or use the "sign" button () above the edit box. This will automatically produce your name and the date.
At Uncyclopedia, writing articles is not a requirement, but it certainly is a fun and easy way to express your creativity. To write an article, it's recommended that you start it in your userspace (for example, User:Who1sit/Article about stuff) so you can edit it at your leisure. If you decide to create it in the cold world of mainspace, make sure it is in accordance with the policies laid out above, and if you're not done put the "Work-In-Progress" template - {{construction}} - onto it as well.
If you want to write and don't know where to begin, consider contributing to Uncyclopedia's current colonization of the week, a group writing project to improve a single popular article. Anyone is welcome to contribute, so come help out!
If the current colonization doesn't suit your fancy, then browse our rewrite and idea categories. We have lots of articles just sitting around for someone to improve, so don't be afraid - dive right in!
If you need help, ask me on my talk page, ask at the Dump, or ask an administrator on their talk page. Additionally, the Uncyclopedian Adopt-a-Noob program is there to bring experienced editors straight to you. Simply leave a message on an adopter's talkpage to join. Again, welcome!
(Also: don't remove ICU tags from articles yourself. Ask the person who put it there or an admin if it's good enough. Cheers!) --UU - natter 10:37, Mar 26

Re. your query to Codeine concerning the ICU: Codeine isn't very active on Uncyclopedia at present (we all need a little break from time to time) so you'll be better off asking the person who placed the ICU, that being Under user who can be found here. UU's a nice bloke who will help you all he can - he's also an admin, so you can trust he'll act in good faith. I think he may have used the vanity sub-message accidentally - although the article is on a subject nobody other than you and your friends will know about, it's not strictly-speaking vanity. It may be an idea to place the article in userspace until you've finished working on it - UU will undoubtedly be able to help you there too. - Bloomin' edit conflicts! Yeah, it was probably me you wanted to talk to. I replied on Codeine's talk page, but you might want to bring any more questions to mine - I'm a little more active than Codeine at the moment. Just so you know, people normally reply to comments on the page you make them - so click the "watch" tab at the top of a page, and you can see on your watchlist when you get a reply. Finally, don't forget to sign comments on talk pages by using the 4 tildes (~~~~). Good luck on the site! --UU - natter 11:24, Mar 26
- Though it's worth seeing Codeine's page too, as UU has explained why he used the vanity ICU tag. Suddenly, everything is illuminated. :-) Rabbi Techno kvetch Contribs FOXES 11:30, 26 March 2009 (UTC)
