This is talk section. Bread good. I am bread. Let us eat bread.
Welcome![edit source]
Hello, NewYinzer66, and welcome to Uncyclopedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. If not, the door's right over there... no, a little more to your left... yeah. Anyway, here are a few good links for nooblets:
If you read anything at all, make it the above two links. If you want to find out more about Uncyclopedia or need more help with something, try these:
- About Uncyclopedia and The five pliers of Uncyclopedia
- How to get started editing on uncyclopedia
- Everything you ever wanted to know, but were afraid to ask
- Help Pages - if you need help with a specific issue
- Our Vanity Policies - why we don't care about your friends
I hope you enjoy editing here and being an Uncyclopedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~) or use the "sign" button () above the edit box. This will automatically produce your name and the date.
If you need help, ask me on my talk page, ask at the Dump, ask an administrator on their talk page or add the following: {{help}}
to this page along with a message and someone will come along and help you if they can. Additionally, the Uncyclopedian Adopt-a-Noob program is there to bring experienced editors straight to you. Simply put {{adoptme}} on your Userpage to join. Again, welcome!
How did you not get welcomed sooner?
Also, about your page up on VFD - Code Geass. It might go either way at the moment, but here's a couple of tips:
- The {{construction}} tag is good protection for articles that you've started and mean to do more work on. An admin will only delete an article with one of those on if there's been no edits for 7 days (unless people try to take advantage of that, of course!)
- However, and even better way to ensure an article doesn't get killed before it has time to blossom is to write it in your userspace. Start the article in your own space like this: User:NewYinzer66/Code Geass then move it to mainspace when it's ready (and preferrably had a good review).
- If it does get deleted, ask an admin to recreate it for you and move it to your userspace as detailed above. Most admins are happy to do this if you ask nicely enough.
Don't get disheartened that your article isn't doing too well - many of the best users on here started off writing VFD worthy crap before learning the ropes. Keep pluggin' away! Hope this helps. --Sir Under User (Hi, How Are You?) VFH KUN 16:24, 6 December 2007 (UTC)
