User talk:Ishiki Wuruki
Oh. oops. Didn't know I had to start this myself =P Well, feel free to ... talk. Ishiki 19:04, 28 March 2006 (UTC)
(IW: I moved it)
Hello Ishiki. I noticed that you tagged an article I wrote for VFD, so I decided to find out a bit more. No hard feelings... the particular article American Genocide was designed to fan the flames of war... so it's expected...
I can offer a few easy tips for the new Uncyclopedian. Creating articles is easy. Think of a topic you want to write about. Type it into the Search Box at the left. You'll go to a search page. At the top of the results will be something along the lines of Would you like to create [[Topic]]"'. Click there, and start your project anew. Congrats! Your adventures in Uncyclopedia have begun. Give yourself 5 experience points, and proceed to ignore them, as xp's have nothing whatsoever to do with Uncyclopedia.
As far as learning how to format, what I've done is simply read articles, and pick up how the author made such and such text blue, how they turned this into a link, etc... There are other editorial sections as well.
I highly reccomend you check out my page for my articles of note, as I am a megalomaniac seeking world domination, and I've written a couple of articles which could be marginally useful to new writers.
Finally, Sub-Pages. In the address bar of your browser, note the address for your user page. Add "/sig" to that address, and you will have the option to create a sub-page, connected with your user page. Finally, simply place [[Text like this]] onto an existing page to create a link for Text like this, and by clicking on Text like this, you can create the article directly.
Finally (Part 2, the return of the editor): Your talk page. Click on the discussion tab at the top of this page to go to your talk page... I would have put all of this on your talk page, but you don't have one yet, so I figured that you might not know about it, and thus, would never find the helpful tips I put down for you.
Feel free to delete this section, or copy and paste it into your talk page, or whatever you wish... Best of luck to you, here's to hoping that you don't write a bunch of horrid articles... (grin) 'cause then I'd have to spend my spare time voting them all for deletion.... Just Kidding. Have fun; TD Complain here MUN (Insert Funny Quote Here) 14:01, 28 March 2006 (UTC)
PS. To use a simple time and date stamp, simply type ~~~~. It will drop your name and the post time into the article automagically. Alternately, you can write your name, and use ~~~~~ (that's 5 tildes) for just the Date/Time stamp. If you hang out much on the VFD page, Sir Gwax will prefer Date/Time listed on all your responces. You didn't[edit source]
Actually, you didn't have to start it yourself... I could have clicked on the discussion page myself... but I wanted to be sure that the whole thing was completely clear... sort of a really lame learning experience, I 'spose. l8r TD Complain here MUN (Insert Funny Quote Here) 22:59, 28 March 2006 (UTC)
