Lady Burtlingtot quotes[edit source]

Please stop adding quotes to pages. We've had several community discussions about quotes and the consensus has been that, in nearly all cases, quotespamming is not funny and only detracts from a page's readability. And to be honest, I suspect that, given the number of very popular pages you've put your quotes on (God, Satan, Ipod Nano 200gb Instructions, etc.), you're mainly trying to shunt traffic to your Lady Burtlingtot page. Please don't. It just makes more reverts for us. G'day! --—rc (t) 07:54, 26 Dec 2005 (UTC)

--I'm sorry you think it's bad for the comunity. If you want I can take away all the quotes. I just thought it would be funny (uptight british lady in love with pirates). I also posted the quotes on the pages I liked most(not the most popular...or at least not only). I wasn't meaning to divert to my page(I would have made a good page if I wanted to do that). Please let me know if you think it would be best to clean everything up.Darcken 07:00, 27 Dec 2005 (UTC)

---Never mind. I re-read some of the quotes It was a stupid idea. I will retrace my steps and delete the quotes. Sorry.07:12, 27 Dec 2005 (UTC)

It's all right, I removed them already. Quotes aren't absolutely prohibited, but in most cases we've generally agreed to remove them (with a few exceptions for Oscar Wilde and others) because it just gets out of hand. Also, I don't have a problem with your Burtlingtot page itself, just the widespread quoting. Happy editing --—rc (t) 07:35, 27 Dec 2005 (UTC)

Meh[edit source]

Please be very careful when moving pages. If you have to move a page twice, you'll probably end up making a Double Redirect which are annoying. (fixed) --Splaka 08:01, 27 Dec 2005 (UTC)
