HELP ME[edit source]

I am a Noob at Uncyclopedia editing, any help would be appreciated – Preceding unsigned comment added by ChinaTownGypsie (talk • contribs)

Well, the reason your edits aren't sticking is that, in two cases, I undid them. In Depression, you added, "Go kill yourself." But this stated bluntly what the whole article was getting to (and was already stated bluntly in the template at the top of the page). Some other guy added a rant to that paragraph, Frosty reverted that, and I decided to revert you as well. Then on Donald Trump, which is currently on the main page, I rolled back your offer of Trumpet as a first try at Trump; it was out-of-the-blue and, as we often say, "wrong ≠ funny." There is a long list of Stuff We Often Say at UN:HTBFANJS, don't be offended by the page's title.
One piece of basic help you deleted on this page: When writing a note, sign it by typing ~~~~ and the server will substitute a signature and the time of day. Also, please indent, as I have done, to set your remarks off from other people's remarks.
I did not indeed get lost on the Adelaide Metro, nor notice that you had typed HELP ME in your user page. I got here because the neighbor started his bulldozer at 3 in the morning and I was looking at Special:RecentChanges to see what happened overnight, and saw the guy who worked on my Trump article while it was getting main-page honors. Asking our suckers adopters for help on their pages was a good move. You are on my watchlist and I will be informed if you edit this page, but I don't keep everyone on watch after conversations end. We have many other Australian editors, PuppyOnTheRadio and Frosty come to mind, and there is probably a list of them somewhere. Spıke ¬ 08:37, 08:51 27-Nov-12

Sorry about those terrible edits, but I would like some help on becoming a better (and funnier) editor. I have read the page on begginers and how to be funny, but I would like it if an experienced editor could watch over me and give me hints. I asked some people on the adopt a noob list but so far no one has answered so should I wait for one to answer our just give up. ChinaTownGypsie (talk) 21:55, November 27, 2012 (UTC)

Good work on the signature this time. No, don't "indent, as I have done" but indent differently from what I have done, so that your remarks are to the right or left of mine. I'll watch over you for a while. Also, if you write a complete article, you can send it to Pee Review and maybe someone will grade it. But "how to be funnier" is usually something you have inside you; if not, the Old Ones of Uncyclopedia tried to boil down the essence of Funny in that article, and did a good job. My basic recommendation is always to write about things that you know and love--enough to know what about them is silly--and love enough to not just be taking cheap shots for an audience. When I wrote Tea Party movement the point wasn't political extremism but their haphazard organization and sometimes parochial goals. If you follow the news, you might try writing an UnNews, though Australia news of no international import wouldn't be welcome unless you can relate it to the general audience around the English-speaking world. Thank you for any help that you can give me. I really appreciate it. ChinaTownGypsie (talk) 22:47, November 27, 2012 (UTC)
