User:Zombiebaron/wip/UnScripts:The Glass Zoo; A Modern Retelling Of The Classic Tennessee Williams Play
Introduction by the author[edit | edit source]
Hello children! Welcome to the wonderful world of literature! Congratulations on being able to read! This is the kind of book we call a play. That means all you do is read what the characters say. It's not like a normal book, it's way more FUN!
This play was written by a man nam Tennessee Williams in the year 1944. Because he was an old man, he used old man words in his version of the play. But not in my version! My version is fun! For the children!
Welcome to the world of the glass zoo,
Sir Anthony Hopkins
Scene I: The First Scene[edit | edit source]
The Wingfield apartment isn't very nice. It is small and behind it there is an alley and a fire escape. There's a bunch of normal apartment objects in the apartment, just use your imagination. Amanda Wingfield is the Mom, and Tom and Laura Wingfield are her kids.
This whole scene is a memory, so even though it takes place in the Wingfield apartment it isn't REALLY the Wingfield aparment. But at the same time it sort of is.
Enter TOM dressed like a sailor. He lights up a cigarette.
TOM: Hello everyone. Please pay attention for a moment while I tell you about the 1930s. Times were tough. This play is a memory from that time.
