All of a sudden, you hone some inexplicable acrobatics skills, and do a double backward somersault, landing in a crouched position behind the reception desk. You gain 50 XP for this surprising display of experience.

Cool. Just remember experience points mean bugger-all. Anyway, the reception desk doesn't provide much in terms of cover, as it turns out; there's Grues on the other side of it, too, and now they're moving toward you.
You lean your head back in despair and groan...and as you do so, you notice that there's three buttons on the bottom of the reception desk.

Yeah, the receptionist was one of those feisty high-tech girls into self-defense. She had a 9mm in her purse and mace in her bra. Not that that's relevant.
Anyway, considering you've backed yourself into a corner and the Grues are coming on fast, you've got little choice but to press one of those buttons. How much damage can a set of buttons designed by a woman do, anyway?
