User:Some crazy guy/Career implant chip
Career Implant Chip (CaImC for short) is a device that monitors users brain-waves, and gives an electric shock when the subject gives off brain-waves that are unrelated to work. For example if the subject is working as a software engineer and instead of thinking about algorithms, uses his valuable brain-power to fantasize about the cute secretary, the CaImC gives a short shock so that the engineer can get back to productive work.
The CaImC was invented, as were many of the modern work-enchanting devices, in the Soviet Union, where it was used in labour camps to motivate the inmates. It was brought to the West by the Business Solutions Consulting (Inc.), a world renowned consulting firm.
Lately there has been some discussion about possible side-effects of the chip, but an independent study by Business Solutions Consulting found that the chip has no negative side-effects. Random shootings, suicide bombings and general madness committed by persons who had the implant, had nothing to do with the implant itself.
Some implantees have died from brain tumours but this affects only about nine persons out of ten, and in most of these cases the tumour was probably the result of bad dental hygiene.
