The Speedy Tour is the second tour by the Remington Steelers. It promoted Speed, the fifth album by the Encino-based tribute band.
Traditions[edit | edit source]
The songs moshed to this time were "I Love Rock N' Roll", the heavy metal segment of "Bohemian Rhapsody", and "Theme from Lupin III". Once again, the injuries peaked at Yankee Stadium, which caused some sort of controversy in that the mosh pit injury rate attracted the ire of Gunnery Sergeant R. Lee Ermey.
Once again, the majority of videos playing during the tour were E-TV videos, and among the people interviewed were Yuji Ohno, Michael Jackson, Paul McCartney, and Vanilla Ice. The other videos played were a How To video on playing Time Crisis and a review of the motion picture "Speed", which the fifth album was named after, that spoofed Ebert and Roeper's review show.
This time, "I Love Rock N Roll" was the song where Rupert Grint stage dove and performed much of the song in the audience. The tradition had started during the previous tour with "American Pie", but this time, Rupert found himself in the middle of a benign mosh pit.
Emma Watson's costume once again remained the same (black leather jacket and blue jeans) between songs, with minor differences. Other than that, during the video breaks, the entire band changed costumes. And no, Rupert was NOT in drag at any point during this tour. Again, he didn't start cross-dressing onstage until the next tour.
