Pie Rates of the Carribbean[edit | edit source]
The Origin of the Pie Rate[edit | edit source]
- A long time ago, in a distant chain of islands, not so unfar away from the mainland Americas, a man (or woman, depending on if you're a feminist or not) decided it might be a good idea to compile an extensive chart of pastry prices. This idea was revolutionary, because it would unify all of the Carribbean (and, in due time the world!) under one consistent price of pies. This started a series of revolutionary undertakings, unheard of at the time. Chain reactions followed in due time, and a culinary revolution had started. A brief account of the early pie rate related happenings:
- In the early 1700's (1712, to be exact), the first known list of pies was compiled. Many flaws associated themselves with the publication of this contoversial list, and the original version only exists as a reference to later pie charters.
- This first known list was compiled by a disembodied spirit. This spirit had a bad habit for unspontaneously combusting in broad daylight to the unshocked crowd of onlookers...but that's another story covered completely in this article.
- Thus, with little occurring in the latter 1700's the pie rate chart was left for new beginnings in the 1800's...
The First Pie Rate Chart[edit | edit source]
- In the early construction period of this "pie chart", many wanted this pie chart to be in the shape of a pie, thus creating what we now know as the pie chart. But, the question arose: "Would not it not not be confusing to have a pie rate chart made in the new form of graph, the pie chart?" Yes, it would. So it wasn't...
