Humour:	8	Interesting and original style of humour, has its places of somewhat overblown silliness but on the whole it comes together quite well.
Concept:	7	A Decent concept, borrows from the things related to salamanders that you'd expect it to (namely mythology)
Prose and formatting:	7	The writing was decent although the fact the subheadings were speaking for the reader rather than summarising the text was wa bit of a let-down.
Images:	6	Not giving this a high score because whilst the images weren't irrelevant, they were mainly obvious ones, captions were so-so... not bad, but not outstanding either.
Miscellaneous:	9	the odd grammar/spelling mistake but nothing major at all.
Final Score:	37	Excellent article, definitely my favourite.

Humour:	7	Quite funny, the style of it comes across as serious historical which works well for this article.
Concept:	6	The concept had the potential to be very good but it wasn't explored to its full extent really; you never actually articulate what the act of cake killing is, this could have been exploited quite well.
Prose and formatting:	8	Well written regardless of a lack of exploration of the topic.
Images:	6	The images clearly allure to what Cake Killing is although they are rather repetitive and the captions aren't fantastic. using the beheading image was good but that wasn't yours so I can't really award points for it.
Miscellaneous:	8	An overall good article but had you maybe decided to go over it and come up with new ideas it could have been fantastic.
Final Score:	35	A worthy PLS candidate although not quite finalist material.

Humour:	6	Fairly funny although it gets a bit too daft in places, the ending was a bit too predictable and cliché.
Concept:	7	Not a bad concept at all although had you perhaps implied in places that the kite was in fact the deranged inner monologue of the parent it would have added an extra dimension to the article.
Prose and formatting:	7	Not too bad, a few grammar issues in places with some cheesy usage of all caps, but otherwise not bad.
Images:	6	Images aren't bad although not terribly augmentational to the article overall, use of clipart at the bottom was a bit WTF... do you not know that [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GTjTXOtff8A
Miscellaneous:	6	Decent use of wiki layout for the flow of the article although in other places some things seem a bit pointless and cause the article to drag a bit.
Final Score:	32	A decent article but the concept could have been refined a bit more to take it up a notch.

Humour:	8	I liked it although the faux-informational style is something people either get or don't get.
Concept:	7	Decent concept although more could have been done to develop it.
Prose and formatting:	8	The article was very well written and it fit with the style perfectly
Images:	6	Images were fairly reasonable for the material although nothing particularly fantastic.
Miscellaneous:	6	The article does feel like it was cut a bit short towards the end but nonetheless it was a quality article.
Final Score:	35	A good article and certainly in my personal top 3 for this years PLS.
