User:Mellionista/Mellioning
Mellioning is the sport of searching the web for the term "John Mellion". This is a common misspelling of "John Meillon", an Australian actor. One then contacts the owners of the websites found by the search, requesting correction of the error (demellioning).
All film buffs should know how to spell it, so their embarrassment when they respond is the reward in this sport.
Advanced mellioners listen for the name being mispronounced on the radio and television, and contact the speaker to complain. These people are referred to as "mellionistas" by other mellioners.

The future of mellioning[edit | edit source]
Mellioners will never run out of sites to mellion, because unfortunately many people are afflicted with mellionism and will never be able to get it right all the time.
Voyeurism and self-mellioning[edit | edit source]
{| |- |[[Image:voyeurmellioning.JPG|thumb|left|200px|Somebody gaining self pleasure by watching someone else mellioning from behind the door]] | There is nothing more despicable than someone who deliberately mellionates a site in order to be the first to mellion it. Sometimes they will alert another mellioner to the presence of the site, then gain secret voyeuristic pleasure from watching them mellion it, often from behind a door. |}
