List of Speed Racer Episodes--with summaries! There were 52 of these things in all, because Tatsuo Yoshida was feeling like a sadist and made the majority of them two parts.

First Episode ever. Speed enters a race and doesn't die, and Pops decides he's ok with that. Speed's not famous yet, so he's still stuck with Righty and Lefty.

Challenge of the Masked Racer[edit | edit source]

Speed meets the weirdo in spandex for the first time. They have a really manly race along the coast at midnight, during a thunderstorm. Speed passes out and wakes up at Spandex Man's house. He later swears that he is not gay.

Speed runs into some old guy who has an equally old car, and for some odd reason also has 12 kids (Viagra and senility don't mix). It turns out that an ex-con is looking for the car, because it will lead to a briefcase full of money.

The Race Against The Mammoth Car[edit | edit source]

Speed enters some humungous race and Trixie and Sparky get into a slapfight over who gets to ride with him. Speed ultimately gets tangled up with some guys trying to pull off a bank heist or something.

The Most Dangerous Race[edit | edit source]

Speed enters another humungous race in the mountains somewhere but fails to check his brakes, which fail (sucks to be him). He falls into a chasm and goes blind, but somehow STILL manages to win the race (with some help from Spandex Man). Now is that manly or what?

In this episode, Speed gets chased around by an angry crippled guy with a gun. He also hits on said guy's sister, much to the annoyance of Trixie.

The Desperate Desert Race[edit | edit source]

Speed travels to some Arab country to participate in a race there. He ends up in a fortress in the middle of the desert with a bunch of guys that are trying to overthrow a government. He has a really manly race through the desert with a guy named Kim (who swears he's not gay).

The Fire Race[edit | edit source]

Speed ends up in what is roughly Peru, entering a race sponsored by a bunch of people who think there's nothing at all wrong with running the race through the base of an active volcano. They would throw Trixie into it to placate the gods, but she's probably not a virgin.

The Girl Daredevil[edit | edit source]

This episode involves a girl, Twinkle Banks, who tries to drive her car over Niagra Falls on cables to raise money for her dad's failing circus. Speed tries to offer her some manly assistance but the cables still break, resulting in Speed and the girl spending a lot of time together.

Speed gets acquainted with the fastest car on earth, which really isn't that fast. He inhales some drug and has a bad trip, which results in Pops tying him to an armchair and torturing him by making him watch old driver's-ed road footage.

Some guy makes a copy of Speed's car and commits theft with it. Speed meets a girl named Lorena and ends up spending the night at her house. Trixie gets pissed. The other girl gets shot.

Speed and Co. end up somewhere near India, to deliver some bratty kid a racecar so that he can be in a pee-wee car race or something. Coincidentally, this kid looks exactly like Spritle. Hilarity ensues.

Speed meets a guy who hates cars. He hates cars so much that he rides a horse. But he has a hot daughter that Speed buddies up with. Her name is Janine, and she threatens to spend the night at Speed's place if her father doesn't stop being a nutcase.

The Race Against Time[edit | edit source]

Another desert-themed episode. Speed runs into a girl who thinks she's Cleopatra, and a guy named Splint Femur totally takes advantage of it. The two of them attempt to burn Trixie at the stake. Speed runs around shirtless and fights a lion or something, in demonstration of his manliness.

Some guy with a crippled arm enters a race with an automatic racecar, and a technique that involves driving on only two wheels. He races Speed and pwns his ass.

The Man on the Lam[edit | edit source]

A crook breaks out of jail to visit his illegitimate child, and to steal a briefcase of money (which is pretty much all the villains in this series seem to try and do).

This episode is about a gang. A gang of assassins. That live in an ancient Japanese castle and wreak havoc on a UN-type meeting by kidnapping all the diplomats.

Speed's down in Latin America, where he's just won a race and a lady named Maria gives him a kiss (and pisses off Trixie). He then has to run off to go save her town from being taken over by some greedy dictatorial guy.

Villain Of The Week - Francisco Fransco (retarded, huh?).
Easily Foilable Plan - Fransco tries to take over town by poisoning Maria's brother, the mayor.

The title pretty much says it all, except that Speed gets to be the test driver for this manly event.

Crash In The Jungle[edit | edit source]

Speed survives a plane crash into an African jungle full of mutant spiders and gorillas, and survives the jungle only through sheer manliness. Oh, and his clothes practically get ripped off, much to the delight of horny girls everywhere.

Easily Foilable Plan - Smasher and his assistant want to build army of mutant gorillas to conquer the world.

Speed's trying to qualify for some race and runs into a guy who tries to cut him in half with a laser after shackling him to a wall. Kinky.

Villain Of The Week - a Mr. Fastbucks.
Easily Foilable Plan - Fastbucks wants to blow up the world's oil supplies so that they will all have to ride trains, which he owns stock in. I guess the trains are solar-powered?

The Secret Invaders[edit | edit source]

Somebody tries to shoot a princess right before a race. Then some other stuff happens, and Speed goes to his own funeral. Either that, or he's just smoked too much crack.

Villain Of The Week - Rudolph Elegantor.
Easily Foilable Plan - some guy wants to assassinate princess and take over country. Yawn.

The Man Behind the Mask[edit | edit source]

Speed and Co. get abducted by a man who's into capes and masks. He's also into artwork, and chains Speed to a bomb to force him to go steal it. Oh, and some ICBM's are in there somewhere, too.

Villain Of The Week - Mark Megaloton the Great.
Easily Foilable Plan - Marky Mark wants to steal all the great art treasures of the world for himself, then blow up all the major cities (and maybe marry Trixie or something).

Another episode about a guy who hates cars, except that this guy doesn't ride a horse and he has no hot daughter. He is simply a disgruntled car accident victim whose son is crippled.

Easily Foilable Plan - Crepit tries to destroy world's cars through overly-elaborate plan.

The Desperate Racer[edit | edit source]

Speed enters a race in South America that involves carrying a pineapple around for the whole thing. Some guy enters the race to earn money to save his ailing sister. Speed's a pig and refuses to let him win, but Trixie makes sure he does. Speed then smacks her like a cheap whore.

Easily Foilable Plan - thugs want to steal a giant diamond hidden in one of the pineapples.

Speed goes to Hong Kong, where he ends up having to babysit Princess Peddle, one of the richest women in the world. Unfortunately for him, a few people want to kill her. Hilarity ensues.

Speed's in Hawaii, where he meets a hot girl and presumably races a laser tank.

OMG, they've merged racing and rasslin'! Every man the world over will have an orgasm watching this. Unless you're Speed, in which case you have to make sure you win and expose some kid's racecar-driving father for a fraud.

Speed's in the Southwest, and for some reason all the natives now ride motorcycles with guns on them. Yeah, try and take their land now, bitches.
Race Of The Week - Speed has to transport Uraniumtane instead.
Villain Of The Week - Geronimo?
Easily Foilable Plan - there isn't one, really...just try to avoid getting gunned down by angry natives.

Car With A Brain[edit | edit source]

Speed has to outwit a computer-guided car that's on a rampant path of destruction, because it was programmed by some insane old guy who wanted it to do that for some reason.
Race Of The Week - er, the racetrack gets destroyed.
Villain Of The Week - Doctor McFife.
Easily Foilable Plan - computerized car will destroy whole country (Scotland, in this case).
Speed Attempts to get Laid By - a machine with tentacles.

Junk Car Grand Prix[edit | edit source]

This time, Trixie gets to enter a race. Speed ruins it by chatting up one of the hot girls entering it, who turns out to be the long lost daughter of the race's sponsor. Trixie's head explodes.

Easily Foilable Plan - Freeload tries to manipulate some girl into winning so that he can get the race prize.

The Car In the Sky[edit | edit source]

Speed and Co. crash land on an island with some other people, and they decide to tie some balloons to his car to float it toward land. Speed goes, a Random Hot Girl goes, and the villain goes, but ends up committing suicide when his briefcase of gold falls out of the car and he dives after it. Idiot.

The Trick Race[edit | edit source]

The Car Acrobats try to trick Speed into another race because they simply can't handle their previous defeat very well. Speed shows up to beat the shit out of them again, but then finds out that he and the Acrobats have both been set up by some random spy organization. They find the headquarters and blow it up, all within a half-hour.

Race Around the World[edit | edit source]

A rich guy decides to sponsor a race in which he will marry his daughter off to the winner. Although she is hot, she is a brat and Speed gets on his soapbox about it while getting drunk in a bar one night. He ends up winning the race anyway, and is then promptly eaten by hordes of zombies waiting just outside the racetrack.
