User:Jesus F Christ/Fun
If there's one thing that routinely pisses me off here it's that most people don't actually have much fun on Uncyclopedia. Most of the folks who are running around this website are doing the equivalent of admin tasks, tagging, VFD, - they really just want to chat in forums, and pretend they are in-charge of something. Not too many people are playing on Uncyclopedia, and letting the creatively of the wiki flow.
So if you want me to respect you, Have some fun.
If you're still confused:
Fun is not[edit | edit source]
- Adding a template to an article.
- Adding a quote to an article.
- Adding an image to an article.
- Adding a joke to an article.
- Adding a comment to a talk page.
- Adding a forum post.
- Adding mindless banter on user_talk pages.
Because unless you have read the page completely, studied the page history and talk page properly you probably don't understand the article or the intentions of others who are already collaborating on that thing. It will not be fun because for them because your edits will stink. Possibly. And they had to undo other edits like yours yesterday, and will tomorrow also. So, it will be fun for you, but not them. So they will call you a dick. Unless what you do is funny, in which case that's cool.

If others find it funny.
Fun is also[edit | edit source]
Watching recent changes, and making edits to articles currently being edited by whoever happens to be online and editing, or who has edited recently and will probably return soon. That way it is possible to interact in semi-real time with human beings across thousands of miles and share a fantastic creative experience together.
Work is[edit | edit source]
- Researching a subject that does not interest you in detail on the internet, wikipedia, an encyclopedia, etc.
- Crafting an article using appropriate formatting, spelling, grammar, tone, etc.
- Creating/finding images which support your written page, although adding useful/witty captions can be fun, and making a page look attractive is something I would consider art, and not work.
- Reading and re-reading your article, to make sure it makes sense, flows, emphasizes the important bits.
- Polishing your article so that it shines.
To get features you must both work and have fun.
When I have fun[edit | edit source]
To be fair, I don't "have fun" much, because I'm saddled with the crap job of being Jesus F Christ. But on occasion, when I have the time, or I feel obliged I have fun in order to make those who don't have fun look bad, I play. Now, I don't know exactly how much any of you know about how I or anyone else plays, so I've given an example.
