Underwater basket weaving[edit source]

Hi, here is my latest gem, it's rough, freshly hewn from my own userpage and ready to be polished with a fine peereview, thanks in part to you, the lovely user. Sir Severian Severian1.jpg CUN.png (Sprich mit mir!) Kraut.png 18:23, 20 February 2008 (UTC)

Humour: 7 While this article did not cause me to laugh right off the bat, I will admit you did have some good points. I was interested in how you described the article in fancy terms as being a form of draft dodging. Although I do not completely understand the concept behind this article (see below), I can tell you put quite a lot of work into this article. There was one minor bump in this article, however… Under criticism, it says it is “approved” by the Kansas state board of education. How could it be criticism if it is approved by something? Before you go on and redo this article,

(re?)-read HTBFANJS (not that this article was stupid, but reading that page always helps bump pages up a bit)

Concept: 5 While I do not fully understand the concept behind this article (Underwater basket weaving related to draft dodging?) I could get a decent feel for the concept behind it. I would prefer a brief explanation on my talk page. Since I do not fully understand the concept, I gave it a median score of 5.
Prose and formatting: 8 Your sentence structure is not bad at all, I can clearly see the development. This article closely follows the typical formation and explanation of an encyclopedia article, and had some good cross explanations. Although there are always some in every article, I noticed two red links. Red links never too particularly good, so if you can find some pun to relate to “Grades” and “Peace”, that would be good
Images: 7 Your images were, overall, not bad at all. I was interested in the modification you did to that oriental painting, how on earth did goggles get on those divers?! The Boy Scout Badge also hit a small snag with the fact that, last I checked, universities do not give badges upon completion of a course. With that image, I would recommend looking at Boy Scout Badges from the 1960’s and using that image, rather then a modern Boy Scout badge (there are differences!). The final image, however, was well done, and I applaud you for that.
Miscellaneous: 6.75 Averaged as per Pee Review Guidelines.
Final Score: 33.75 This article, although it is not front page-able at the time, could very easily be there sometime soon. Try looking up type F merit badges to get ones from around the era you are using, read over HTBFANJS, read the article out loud to yourself, in case I missed any grammar errors, and finally, resubmit for a different pee to review.
