Playing God[edit source]

I think it's missing something. Please talk to me. I get lonely. - Guybles 20:41, 7 August 2007 (UTC)

Humour: 8 No real laugh-out-loud moments here. However, you are consistently funny the whole way through, something that's very important.
Concept: 5 Every article has a major problem, something that brings the whole thing down. With yours, I believe it's your unclear concept. You have the first image of the God board game which makes me think that I will be playing as God (smiting people and what have you). But later, you get on to talking about playing God. Like in Bridge. Both playing God and playing God are good ideas, but you certainly can't have them together in an article. Or if you do, you should make a clear distinction as to which one the page is really about.
Prose and formatting: 8 Good writing. Clear and with very few grammar mistakes (which I tried to fix). The only confusion is in the conflicting concepts. Other than that this was a very understandable article.
Images: 7 Both images are quite funny and well done, as are the captions. Again, though, they contradict each other.
Miscellaneous: 5 I suggest that you modify the introduction so that it doesn't make the reader think that this is an article about getting to be God. Really, since playing God = being God in most people's minds, you should make this distinction early on. Take HowTo:Turn Your Computer On, for example. When I see the title I think, Oh, pressing the button to make it start up. But since the article is about sexually arousing your computer, the introduction had to make that clear.
Final Score: 33 Well, as soon as you clean up the bit of confusion, I think this will be a very nice article. There's always more progress to be made, of course (perhaps condensifying the introduction and inserting more funnies in the main body?) but you've done a good job. I hope I explained the thing about the concepts well enough. If not, come talk to me and I'll try to make better explain for you what I speak of. ^^

That's great - I will follow up as soon as possible. Just a little busy at the moment. - Guybles 12:49, 20 August 2007 (UTC)
