I'm not going to use the table because what I have to say is extremely straightforward: It's only acceptable to make fun of the sacred Hajj if you're funny about it. This article is not humourous; it is, in fact, offensive. Even being offensive can be funny if you know what you're doing. You either do not know what you are doing or are very good at pretending you don't. I am a (partial) Middle-Easterner and won't say no to a good laugh about that wacky Shah. I have to disagree with my esteemed middle-eastern college here on some points and agree on some others.
First, the article isn't funny. Sorry, but it's just isn't. That doesn't have to do anything with the fact that's it's offensive or not - it's just isn't funny, and I can think of some several amusing concepts. It's very much incoherrent, the pictures are mediocre etc. I'd say - restart it and perform extreme face over.
As for the offensive part - that shouldn't stop you, since we seem to slaughter every holy cow around here. That specific article that VyvyanWilde gave as an example for a good offensive article - is one of the worst pieces here, in terms of offensive content. So I'd say - just write whatever you like, as long as it's funny. ~
