"It Ain't Necessarily So Po" is a song with music by George Gershwin and lyrics by his brother Ira Gershwin. The brothers became concerned when idolization of popular UK children's show "The Teletubbies" continued well into the 21st century. They wrote this song to warn people of the questionable pasts' of the individuals behind the masks of the Teletubbies.
It ain't necessarily Po
It ain't necessarily Po
The things that look cuddly
Like a Teletubby
They ain't necessarily so.
- Laa-laa was small, but oh my!
- Laa-laa was small, but oh my!
- She’s paying penance
- For killing her parents.
- Laa-laa was small, but oh my!
- Oh Dipsy, he lived in a box,
- Oh Dipsy, he lived in a box,
- He used to be homeless,
- Flat-broke and hopeless
- Oh Dipsy, once lived in a box.
- Tinky-Winky was found in a cell,
- Tinky-Winky was found in a cell,
- He was locked in a jail house,
- For indecent behaviours,
- Tinky-Winky escaped from a cell.
It ain't necessarily Po
It ain't necessarily Po
Furry and able
Doesn’t mean that they’re stable
They ain't necessarily Po.
