I'm sure there used to be some sort of a idea that people were meant to write false information in these UnNews things or Something, whereas this page appears to be factually correct in every detail. That's the saddest part of the whole story - his reputation and prestige made it difficult for victims to report him, or when they did, it meant they were much less likely to be taken seriously. The case raises lots of unhappy questions, like where we draw the line between someone being "a dirty bugger" (which was the impression he obviously gave lots of people around him) to being an actual cause for concern, how much one person's good acts in one area blind us to possible misdemeanours elsewhere, and how many victims of sexual abuse still keep quiet. One of the kids was abused in a hospital by Savile and then told his family he simply 'didn't like going to the hospital'. Broke my heart. Leverage (talk) 17:03, 27 June 2014 (UTC)
