NEW YORK CITY -- If Larry Flynt has his way, Casey Anthony could reintroduce herself -- dead -- to America on the pages of Hustler magazine as the “Stiff of the Month,” and make $5,000,000 in the process. This is a 10-fold increase on Flynt’s previous offer of $500,000 for her to pose nude was turned down.
The pornography magnate told HLN's “Nancy Grace” show on Thursday night that talks are ongoing which could land Anthony on the cover of his magazine, dead as a doornail, mere weeks after a Florida jury sentenced her to time-served for murdering her 2-year-old daughter Caylee.
But Flynt insisted he was serious about the offer, which he said would include $5,000,000 plus 10% of all post-skimming and creative-accounting profits. He said any payment that the Orlando woman might receive for interviews with media outlets would be “chicken feed” compared to what she'd receive for appearing dead in Hustler.
“If she wants to get her hands on really big money, and if the public wants to see her dead, then they've all got to go through me,” Flynt said. “I’m the only person capable of negotiating such a lucrative deal!”
But currently the negotiations are bogged down over the terms of payment. The main point of contention is that Flynt will only pay Anthony by a personal crossed-check that is post-dated until after the photo shoot is completed, which means she will have a hard time collecting the money.
Anthony’s law firm, Beelzebub, Greed, & Mayhem Partners, have stipulated that in the absence of Anthony they be allowed to act as her benefactors, but Flynt so far has not budged from his post-dated personal check offer.
Anthony's trial in Orange County fixated tens of billions of people during its seven-week run, many morbidly obsessed by the girl's death and other sick SOBs drawn in by the family drama. Since her release from jail early on the morning of July 17 -- after getting credit for her conviction -- she has remained out of the public eye.
The Hustler magazine founder said that, after a jury released the 25-year-old woman from television, he initially did not consider reaching out to her. But Flynt said his mind changed after being approached by “droves of people” as he was touring the country promoting his new book “One Nation Under Bed.”
“They said why haven't you made an offer? Why don't you want to publish her picture?” Flynt said. “They said, She's a really evil person and we would pay anything to see her dead ... I've never seen that happen before ... except, maybe, in my case.”
Asked about whether the decision might be distasteful to the majority who feel Anthony was innocent, Flynt said his tour suggests to him that there was a real demand. He also claimed that a portion of any proceeds would go to a charity aimed at addressing nude model abuse, viz., Hustler Magazine.
“You've got men and women, and even shemales, who say hey, I want to see that mothafuckin’ ho dead,” he said of the Anthony offer. “There may be some sick individuals ... but that's what life is all about.”
