You head down a tunnel to your right. For five minutes you and the mob stumble, slip and trip through the tunnel. At one point, one guy accidentally drops his torch and burns another dude's head off. Well, he died for a noble cause!
Eventually, you reach a dead end in the tunnel, but it's too dark to see it. You only knew that the dead end was there because you walked right into it. Ouch.
So the mob turns around to head back, but they still want you to be in front. The only problem is, you're now squished at the back of the (pretty narrow) tunnel, so you can't just walk through the crowd. They have to pick you up and literally chuck you over to the front of the pack.
You hit the ground headfirst, but luckily this only hurts slightly. Or maybe you've just become immune to pain. Better see a doctor soon!
