You realize how unequipped to fight Aracuans you are, so you and the mob flee the sewer. One guy trips over a rock, but because the other guys have no time to help him get back up, he is abandoned and taken prisoner (thankfully not killed) by the Aracuans.
Three crazy Aracuans have followed you out of the sewer! They don't seem to be the smartest of the bunch, but these are much stronger and even more deranged than the average member of their species.
