• {{SUBJECTPAGENAMEE}} Would give you Main_page

In URLs the latter is better. In google URLs the "_" needs to be "+", so used the string parser {{#replace:{{SUBJECTPAGENAMEE}}|_|+}} to change Main_page to Main+page. Nominally Humane! 09:27 17 Apr

I think we want the following two searches from the google link buttons, but I can't get them to work... "uncyclopedia.wikia.com/wiki/Whatever Page Name" and "Uncyclopedia Whatever Page Name". MrN 09:30, Apr 17

That should be right. Theoretically we could skip lmgtfy and go straight to google, but it's too much fun the other way. The google "link:blah blah blah" search is a little dicey though, so you could do this instead, which would find the instance of the phrase. We could always do this as a catch all. It's almost right. The last one works fine, but the first does not. It's got "link:http://" on the start of the search and that's not helping. I think we just want it in the form "lmgtfy.com/whatever page Uncuclopedia " Actually probably all we do need is the fist link which we do have now and works. Now you confused me! MrN 10:07, Apr 17

Actually none of it works. I think you must have been testing using the page itself. If you try it from one of the templates where it's placed on an actual article talkpage neither work well at all. MrN 10:10, Apr 17

  • Returns uncyclopedia.wikia.com/wiki/Above_Top_Secret

And:

• http://www.google.com/search?q=%22Above+Top+Secret%22+Uncyclopedia
  • Returns "Above Top Secret" Uncyclopedia

The first will look for the link as text. The second will look for the phrase and/or "Uncyclopedia". Google have changed their search functions do that logical AND and "linkto" are no longer done the same way.
