Would it be possible to change the link on this template to a plainlink styled external-type link, rather than a proper internal wikilink? Because that way, pages with this template on would still show up on Special:Deadendpages, and be easier to fix, as rather than half being on the special page and half in Category:Dead Ends, they'd all be in one place. Though most would be in two. The way it is, that one link is actually fixing the deadends by itself. I think. Unless I'm wrong. • Spang • ☃ • talk • 08:28, 26 May 2006 (UTC)

- Isra re-added a link, which is just going to go into circles. Isra! If you want these pages off the list of dead-end pages, that is ok (just revert me back to before I double-interwiki'd), but please explain it here to Spang ^_^. --Splaka 03:46, 28 May 2006 (UTC)
- Hey folks, I use the special page for deadends to patrol for blanked pages, new pages without content, vandalized pages, and sub-par pages. Most of these pages get deleted or NRVed and don't clutter the page. Some of them can stay in their current state for a long time so it behooves me to get them off the special page. Before the upgrade, just having a template would go this, after the upgrade I added the link so it would keep doing this. I know, I could just add links myself, but the thing is that most pages that are long and linkless need slightly more attention than that. Thus, the way I do this is to patrol and empty the special page whenever I am here and then go through the Maintenance page every few weeks to address the pages I have templated. I have been occupied with real life for a while and that is why the special page built up, but I am back now and it is much easier for me if I can do things my way, which means having a link appear on the template. ---
