This template uses Lua:

For Mad Libs type content. Spits out a random word.

Because Scribunto runs at parse time and is cached, this template cannot randomize content on every page reload (unlike <choose uncached>). The output only changes when the page is re-parsed (e.g., after a cache purge). There are no plans to rework the current Mad Libs templates to use Module:Madlibs, since (because of the aforementioned inability to randomize when reloading) it would break a lot of expected behavior, although <choose uncached> only ever really randomized content on page reloading for logged-in users. IP's are stuck with cached pages, and that garish notice banner.

Usage

Parameter `{{{1}}}`

The {{{1}}} parameter specifies a pagename, which must correspond to a module subpage of "Module:Madlibs/data", as in "Module:Madlibs/data/verb". Accepted shorthands for pagenames are found in Module:Madlibs/config.

Parameter `{{{2}}}`

The {{{2}}} parameter accepts a number used to reseed each module invocation, so that multiple calls (if using a different number to reseed) will give you a different word.

Example
