This template is used to mark new pages which have no present value, but which could perhaps be improved if their author were given a sharp poke in the ass.

Usage

To mark a page with ICU without comment (not recommended), use the following code: {{ICU|~~~~~}}. This will generate a timestamp. You can also manually add the current date, like {{ICU|16 December 2025}}. Either way, the first parameter must be a valid date.

Or, to add helpful suggestions as to ways the author could fix the page: {{ICU|~~~~~|fix=message}}

Or, to add pre-written suggestions as to ways the author could fix the page: {{ICU|~~~~~|sub=option}}. Options are "sub=format", "sub=short", "sub=notfunny", "sub=random", sub=list, and "sub=encyclopedic" You can use both fix and sub messages together.

format	This page needs some formatting help. It should have: Links to other articles. Few (or no) red links. Paragraphs, headings, correct speeling and grammer, maybe some tables, and an image or two. If you need formatting help, check this page or ask someone for help.
short	This page needs some content! Try to make sure that: It looks like a real encyclopedia article. Ya know, with words and stuff. It has sections, paragraphs, and maybe an image or two. It has links to other articles. It has a body to go with its soul.
notfunny	This page seems to be lacking in humor or satire. Try to make sure that: Lots of people will find it funny. You know what funny is. The humor in it is original and inspired. It has soul to go with its body. If you need help, try asking someone for suggestions.
random	Truth is funnier than outright Lies or Plain Nonsense: Coherence is like a horse, and funny is like a cart. For your article to go places, the coherence must come first. Otherwise, you just get a cart with a horse stuck in the back. That cart, while sometimes amusing, isn't really going anywhere. If you need help, try asking someone for suggestions, or read this.
list	This list needs some content! Try to make sure that: It includes some actual content. Remember unadorned lists are rarely funny. It looks like a real encyclopedia article, with paragraphs, tables, and an image or two It contains links to other related articles. It is funny and not just stupid
encyclopedic	Uncyclopedia is a parody of Wikipedia and should be written accordingly: The first paragraph or two of an article should provide a definition and summary introduction to the topic. The article should be structured in wikipedia-style sections. Tone should be encyclopedic and the point of view objective except when the concept of the article dictates otherwise. The article should use full grammatically correct sentences with any International English spelling. Appropriate words should be linked to other articles like this: [[linked]] to other [[article]]s. Appropriate pictures should be included like this: [[File:Filename.ext|thumb|Caption]]
