The girlfriend[edit source]
Love what everyone's doing with this article... I understand it's funny to make the girlfriend fake as that is a stereotype of the average 4chan user, but I think the better article is not about stereotyping 4chan users but, in a funny way, going into the possible motivation behind why someone might become such a bald-faced misogynist. I think my original intention was to make fun of the human tendency to project your own problems onto the people you are criticizing... and I think Wageslav has been doing good things with this article, to the point where the narrator is becoming three-dimensional, which was never necessarily my intention, but I actually think it ends up being funnier and ringing more true this way. - To add something... the point is really supposed to be that the narrator has no clue how irrational and emotional he is being while accusing women, feminists, SJWs and Tumblr users of doing the very same thing that he is doing. It definitely makes it funnier to make him a 4chan user but it's not all about that, as people like this are everywhere, not just on 4chan. It's not a stereotype of 4chan users so much as a story about a guy with an obviously emotional conviction in his own rationality as well as the irrationality of everyone he comes into conflict with. It's difficult to understand why he's so emotional if he's just making the whole thing up. Kazimiera (talk) 13:01, 6 September 2015 (UTC)
- I do like things like this, where the narrator is an obvious dickhole but fails to recognise it, whilst at the same time blaming everything else for how shit his life is. Nice bit of work....hard to get the balance right between been too obvious or too subtle. :) -- Sir Mhaille (talk to me)
