Hobos, attack![edit source]
Despite the piss-taking this article is dedicated to the memory of Alan Smith, AKA Bear, the homeless poet of Bristol and a friend of mine, who died in November 2009 after many years on the streets. He was known all across the city for his astonishing ability to create poems on the spot out of any combination of words you gave him. One of the smartest people I've ever had the pleasure of meeting, the guy was also blessed with a great sense of humour, and I like to think he'd chuckle at the concept of a hobo army swarming over everything in its path. Rest in peace, Bear, we still miss your poems. --Holy Shit It's powell 17:50, February 21, 2011 (UTC)
- One day St Helens will lose "Johnny Welly", a regional treasure. I hope the town builds a monument to his memory. -- Sir Mhaille (talk to me)
- Haha, I just checked his "official website" and he seems an interesting guy. --Holy Shit It's powell 23:00, February 22, 2011 (UTC)
