Okay, so, the very extreme oldness of Uncyclopedia's custom skin has been known since the 1.5 upgrade, but it is just now starting to have critical terminal flaws in the operation of the site.
Due to this, we'll be attempting to merge the skins a bit back to normal. The first step in this (probably) will be the merging of the files in /skins/uncyclopedia/ to /skins/monobook/ via symbolic linking.
Obviously, replacing Uncyclopedia's main.css with Wikia's version of main.css will not be an immediately pretty site, but I've started a process to localize all such changes to this CSS file (the obvious interface changes anyways).
As of this writing the two main.css files look like this:
You can see there are many differences. So far I've only gone through and changed the obvious differences, but there may be more changes needed. You'll notice, we've shoved all the Wikia customizations of main.css (from MediaWiki defaults) at the very bottom, where they should be easy to find and revert (for Uncyclopedia).
The rest of the files in the folder are mostly either images or css fixes, and should operate almost exactly the same when symlinked.

Custom theme?[edit source]
Hey -
I recently started a wiki of my own, and want to get a theme similar to Uncyclopedia's up. I'm having trouble, though, as I can't seem to default a non-Monaco theme. How is it done here? – Preceding unsigned comment added by Mnmazur (talk • contribs)
- Sorry dude, we have no idea what we are doing either. Generally, we just cut something from one place, and paste it into another to see if it works. I recommend that. JFC 17:22. May 23

- Hotadmin4u69 added some code to do something to the font size on the sidebar, then I noticed it was commented out and thought 'that can't be right', so I made it so it wasn't commented out any more, then it turned out the code was all wrong and everything got horribly weird. Then I removed the code and now everything seems to be ok. If it still is wrong for you you may need to flush your cache. – Llwy-ar-lawr (talk • contribs • logs) 19:42, 23 May 2014
