Hydrox
Hydrox is a well-known cookie brand. But unlike other cookie brands, it isn’t known for its taste or its smell; in fact, it’s known for the fact that Oreo copied it (and also for its discontinuation).

1908-1999[edit | edit source]
In 1908, a few poor men who worked for a small, unknown cookie company decided to buy a cheap package of cookies at the supermarket. They took the cookies and some toothpaste and mixed them together, thus creating Hydrox.
But very shortly thereafter, Nabisco decided to copy Hydrox and created Oreo. Oreo had practically the same characteristics as Hydrox: it was brown, had weird symbols, and was made with toothpaste, but for some reason, the idiots back then never noticed the striking resemblance. Oreo continued to give Hydrox a hard time for a long time until Hydrox was discontinued in the late 1990s.
The unexpected return[edit | edit source]
No, this story isn't over yet! Hydrox made a big comeback in the 2010s, so now you can try some Hydrox! These cookies are tucked away on the supermarket shelves, but if you look hard enough, you’ll find them! If you take a look at social media, you’ll see countless videos claiming things like “Hydrox is being treated unfairly” or “Oreo copied Hydrox,” among other things, which has boosted Hydrox’s sales a bit.
