Uncyclopedia is a parody of Wikipedia (or was it that they claim the reverse?) so the various Uncyclomedia Babble projects need to look like Wikipedia. By messing with the skins, Wikia has broken this. Don't be surprised if you start hearing from individual Uncyclopedia language projects looking to move. I'm already holding a bunch of domains, just in case. Carlb (talk) 15:10, 29 May 2018 (UTC)

Wikia, who has rebranded themselves Fandom, discontinued Monobook with the claim that it, and custom javascripts on the site, violated the new EU Privacy laws passed. This might be something to investigate to avoid legal issues here. I think they overreacted in getting rid of the whole thing, or maybe they just wanted to make sure their money-grabbing ads show up equally on all their sites. If the latter, then we should have no problem here retaining what we need to, to maintain the parody. But if it is the former, it might be a good idea to be proactive to avoid an unaffordable lawsuit expense in the future. Obviously, there are a lot more options on this site to protect privacy. -- Simsilikesims(♀UN) Talk here. 17:04, 29 May 2018 (UTC)
PS - When I complained to Wikia, they linked me here: https://www.eugdpr.org/gdpr-faqs.html -- Simsilikesims(♀UN) Talk here. 17:12, 30 May 2018 (UTC)
