Forum:1 year
One year ago today - possibly more or less depending on timezones - the fork began. What had once been one community split into two. What had been one culture, one set of rules, also split into two, though more slowly.
These communities became rivals, and there has been war between them off and on during this year. Politics can tear a community apart and turn both sides from friends to enemies, as it has done here. As with most wars, some have made the ultimate sacrifice; we know their names. Now we should put that behind us and be at peace, but we will always remember the troubles of the past. We may not wear poppies, lay down wreaths or visit cemeteries, but we remember. That is enough.
That is not, of course, to say that all who fought have done it well. Some have resorted to vandalism and deleting others' comments. Those, however, are few; the acts of most of those may be safely forgotten, but one casts an indelible shadow over the other side of the fork, called the spoon, and can only be forgotten by being avoided. May he be spoken of no more.
And now may we start a new year filled with good things and success.
Please don't block me. I won't do it again if you really don't want me to. I'll do anything it takes. Anything, honest! I'm good at not getting blocked. Wait a minute, what about all this? Anyway, 37 is too many enough. Please. Pretty please with a cherry on top? – Llwy-ar-lawr (talk • contribs • logs) 23:56, 5 January 2014 (UTC)
