Shit, looks like I missed my chance to change to a for with the better version. But God damn I would have. -RAHB 05:44, 13 February 2009 (UTC)

Well, you saw the reaction from others with "I don't get it" and "not funny". I think people were being too serious. It's just absurd humor, nothing else. The idea started with the private colonization effort for Recipes on Endangered Species where I felt a central character would help the humor. I thought about Jack Black and made a quick poster with him in front of a mural of endangered animals. PP wanted it to be more nefarious than slapstick so he was dumped for Martha Stewart. I figured there had to be a shark-jump or other ridiculous application for Jack Black and the winning idea was a menstruation guide for men. I'm still going to write the "period piece" (it's been started) but after the reaction to this picture I'm writing it from the perspective of an older teenager "informing" a younger teen about menstruation. I thought Jack Black would make the concept funnier but it apparently confuses people.--DRStrangesig5.png Sherman.png Fingertalk.png  09:45, 13 February 2009 (UTC)
Eh, don't worry about what other people think. You know what's funny, more or less, and I agree that Jack Black would make anything like that funnier. The absurdity in the fact that he's a celebrity, and yet not particularly associated with the topic in any way normally, that's what makes it funny, for me anyways. Sometimes that kind of humor tends to be alien to lots of people. Not sure why. Anyways, I look forward to the piece, whichever way it's written, but I'm hoping you choose the Jack Black route. -RAHB 09:54, 13 February 2009 (UTC)
