By many, Rammstein are often considered the fathers of the "tanz metal" and "no riffs" genres. Their hit single "Du Hast" (from the 1994 album Sehnsucht) earned the band worldwide popularity.

Travis Barker was originally going be their drummer, but only practiced a couple of times with them in early 1986 before Christoph Schneider called to offer his services to Justin Timberlake.

The name Rammstein isn't from the porn movie "I Got Rammed By Frankenstein".

They had a second article written about them in the 2005 humorous encyclopedia Uncyclopedia, to have fun at the expense of the humorless site The Metal-Archives.

Uncyclopedia has copied the Soundgarden page from the Metal-Archives in order to replace the word Soundgarden in it to the word Rammstein. This was done to demonstrate the lack of sense of humor of the Metal-Archives staff, which caused Rammstein to be blacklisted on the Metal-Archives which prevents it from being considered a metal band for all eternity.
