Hi guys.

I'm back, but I'll try not to make a habit of it. Gotta keep you young'ns on your toes. --Emmzee 02:05, 17 December 2007 (UTC)

Glad that you are here. :) I'll try to be on more on Thursday. More likely to be on IRC, but i'll be there. Conniving 12:58, 17 December 2007 (UTC)
So you're just idling out to "keep us on our toes"? Also, check out the Grueslayer IRC channel. --Trar (talk|contribs|grueslayer) Mchammer.gif 23:49, 17 December 2007 (UTC)

If it's okay with y'all,

I'm deleting the info page. You know that yellow square button on the wall in our talk page description? Seriously, I have a feeling that no-one pays attention and/or reads it. But first, i'm going to take a vote. The vote ends Saturday. Also, you have to explain why you picked the choice you picked. --Trar (talk|contribs|grueslayer) Mchammer.gif 00:12, 18 December 2007 (UTC)

1. Delete the info page

 1. Kill I think that no-one uses it very often. --Trar (talk|contribs|grueslayer) Mchammer.gif 00:07, 18 December 2007 (UTC)
 2. NUKE TO HELL It's bloody useless. --Lt. High Gen. Grue The Few The Proud, The Marines 00:31, 18 December 2007 (UTC)

2. Keep the info page

 1. Keep Every once in a while, when creating a few pages, I look at some parts of the info page. Marshal Uncyclopedian! Talk to me!
 2. Keep It is informative to those who find it. It gives a general guideline on how an Uncyclopedian text adventure should be structured, and such information has great use. Conniving 00:50, 18 December 2007 (UTC)
 3. Keep I used it a few times, and it contains some VERY useful information. Like what not to do when editing pages, and which plots are red herrings. Gruekicker 12:32, 18 December 2007 (UTC)
 4. Keep Knowledge is power. —PongoV2(talk|cont) 11:39, 20 December 2007 (UTC)

Survey says: Keep! So, it stays. Voting is over. --Trar (talk|contribs|grueslayer) Mchammer.gif 12:18, 23 December 2007 (UTC)

Updating...

Ok, so since the previous yarn of my thought got archived, I guess I'll continue it here. I'm going to nix the entire "puzzle" train of plot, reverting it back to a death or red herring choice. The backstory idea will most likely be implemented in hard mode at a much later date. Time for me to get down to buisness, dangit! I'll be tying up loose ends in easy mode and fixing bugs/broken links. This will continue into the forseeable future, so no need to worry about me mucking things up with regards to the story. Although, feel free to ask me about plot advice should you want my input for some reason. As for PvP. I might created a new page or too, but not before I contribute to finishing up some of those half-baked battles. And finally, if you guys feel this post was totally uneccessary and/or dumb, please tell me so I can stop it. The reason behind these types of posts from me is that I like to spell out what I'm going to do beforehand, so if someone objects or disagrees they can say so right away rather than getting pissed when they see my work later o_o. Gruekicker 15:43, 18 December 2007 (UTC)

About PvP... you might want to find me on the #uncyc-grueslayer channel on IRC for that one... Conniving 00:33, 19 December 2007 (UTC)
Well it's a good thing that you're careful about Grueslayer. I thought your Easy Mode plot was too early, anyways. And, you may want to go to Qvfd if you want to get rid of excess unneeded pages. You could just convert the rest to DETH. OMG I LUVV MEG3D4TH!!!!!!!!!!!!!111 --Trar (talk|contribs|grueslayer) Mchammer.gif 18:50, 20 December 2007 (UTC)

Appearance of dead links in Template:Gsl

I find it quite annoying that there is no difference between dead links and working links in Template:Gsl.

I think it would be nice if there was some kind of small Under Construction image or something. An other soloution might be to formatting in some way (eg. change color, underline, make bold etc.)

PS. The code may look something like this:

{{#ifexist: |<span style="color:#00CC00">{}</span>|<span stile="some stile">{}</span>}}

or

<span style="color:#00CC00">{}</span>

or

{{#ifexist: {}|<span style="color:#00CC00">{}</span>|<span title="Option is not yet availible" class="fakelinks" style="cursor: pointer; color: #00CC00;">{}</span>[[{}|<span style="color:#00CC00;"><small>[Create it]</small></span>]]}}

--Anka.213 00:25, 29 December 2007 (UTC)

I really don't think that that's practical. I mean, it wouldn't be worth it to put that in every red link in the game, seeing as there are a lot of them. Besides, what if a page is deleted and we don't know about it? But, a way to tell dead links apart from the rest WAS a red underlining. Damn you Wikia for changing that! Nowadays it's a red question mark. So deal with it and look out! --Trar (talk|contribs|grueslayer) Mchammer.gif 22:49, 29 December 2007 (UTC)
You would only have to change the code in the Template:Gsl, the code automagicly checks if the page exists or not. But I think I didn't see that the underline changed color (it still does), so there is no real urge change anything (but i still think that some other difference might be nice). --Anka.213 05:09, 30 December 2007 (UTC)

ATTENTION!

New Year's is upon us. BUT, so is the first anniversary of Grueslayer! Check the history of the Grueslayer front page if you're skeptical! On January 1st(true story!), I, Trar, created the front page of Grueslayer. It was a piece of crap that miraculously didn't get deleted. Then, in April, Zork Implementor L posted a message on my and Emmzee's talk pages, saying if we would ever start work on Grueslayer. The rest is history. Again, and I know HanSolo is going to say i'm lying, check the history of the GS front page if you're skeptical. I know the "official" Grueslayer didn't start until the summer months, but this is the stuff that born all the stuff we see nowadays.

And HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11111 --Trar (talk|contribs|grueslayer) Mchammer.gif 22:24, 31 December 2007 (UTC)

Sidequests?

Since no-one else is using this page, http://uncyclopedia.org/wiki/Game:Grueslayer/anotheruniverse, I'll just dump all the sidequests i feel like here. Yep. Sidequests.--Naughty Budgie 04:24, 2 January 2008 (UTC)

Those pages are supposed to be dead ends. Think carefully on that one. Also, don't put EVERY sidequest in one place, spread them around the game. Conniving 16:21, 3 January 2008 (UTC)
Good point. It's still sort of a dead end, because once they complete a sidequest, they get something to make them feel good about themselves, then they're killed by something.--Naughty Budgie 23:05, 3 January 2008 (UTC)

Hello, WOTS THIS?

What the heck is up with this new funky green color. Whatever it is, I dont like it. If I had more knowledge about wikis in general I'd find out who changed it and yell at them. Alot. Then I'd change it back. Join the crusade! Gruekicker 16:06, 12 February 2008 (UTC)

(Almost immediate update) Ok looks like some tampered with how links are displayed in Grueslayer. I still have no idea how to change back, but let me tell you guys something, its annoying the heck outta me. Ok so I should really be the one changing it back if it bothers me so much instead of relying on other people, but I am still fairly new to wikis in general, so sue me. *is sued* Wow I should've seen that coming... Gruekicker 16:13, 12 February 2008 (UTC)
I agree.--Naughty Budgie 08:21, 13 February 2008 (UTC)
I posted on the offending editor's userpage telling him/her about it, and I fixed the template Template:Gsl. Turns out the user is Flutter, and he/most likely he edited the template page to a new color. Here's the marauding code in question: <span style="color:MEDIUMSPRINGGREEN">{}</span> The edit summary says *prays and is scared*, so the user probably has a sense of humor. I think he's new. *me considers giving Flutter a GS IMPLEMENTOR job offer, slaps self for being suck a dumbfuck* I don't know what to do to the missing asterisks, though. --Trar (talk|contribs|grueslayer) Mchammer.gif 02:40, 17 February 2008 (UTC)
That seems solved. Conniving 02:57, 17 February 2008 (UTC)
And we have have no idea why he did it? It seems he worships us.--Naughty Budgie 05:19, 18 February 2008 (UTC)
Well, I wouldn't worry too much about it. Conniving 21:07, 19 February 2008 (UTC)
If he worships us i would.--Naughty Budgie 08:30, 20 February 2008 (UTC)
So this topic involves me after all? The reason I put on the edit summary *prays and is scared*, is that I think someone is more likly to revert it. I'm a he, by the way. The thing "so the user probably has a sense of humor" is that it is more likly to get reverted. And I'm not worshipping... weired—Flutter (TalkGamesFun PagesAwardsHelp) 01:11, 25 March 2008 (UTC)

SLAVES-ERIMEAN-TEAM!

It's summer! Most of us are free from prison-imean jobs, or school. So, with all this free time, I thought we might get some progress in on this big game. I'll start making a few pages. --Trar (talk|contribs|grueslayer) Mchammer.gif 18:45, 23 June 2008 (UTC)

Where do you want to focus on? Conniving 19:02, 23 June 2008 (UTC)
Well, I added a few things to Hard mode, so we can expand on the mine section (with all the gates). Intermediate is a mess, maybe the zombie bit can be a red herring in it's entirety, that is, all options lead to death or merge with other modes. Easy is in need of finishing with the BHOP part. SO GET TO WORK! --Trar (talk|contribs|grueslayer) Mchammer.gif 19:49, 23 June 2008 (UTC)

Order of the UnSenate

The plot of Easy mode must be entiely re-written becaue it is under copyriht of ME. --Lt. High Gen. Grue The Few The Proud, The Marines 19:17, 23 June 2008 (UTC)

No. Overruled, 'cuz I r teh CREATOR. And we need you. You can be idle from Grueslayer for years, but you can never leave, in case you come back. And the Easy mode plot stays no matter what. NEW RULE: You can leave ONLY if you agree to have all your stuff stay, if you have contributed a lot. If you haven't contributed much, and you want it gone, there it goes. Entire plots, however, are different stories. --Trar (talk|contribs|grueslayer) Mchammer.gif 19:45, 23 June 2008 (UTC)
...hmm.... well, you're only an asshole on IRC... sooo.... sure. I'll work. I demand 45 dollars a second though. --Lt. High Gen. Grue The Few The Proud, The Marines 22:49, 23 June 2008 (UTC)
Make it 100 bucks a day and you're set. --Trar (talk|contribs|grueslayer) Mchammer.gif 23:04, 23 June 2008 (UTC)
For real, though? That's a bit harsh. I could manage a buck a month without my mates getting angry, and even then they would be a bit miffed. --Trar (talk|contribs|grueslayer) Mchammer.gif 23:21, 23 June 2008 (UTC)

A suggestion

Should I add all the options on the main starting page, to the zombie starting page? You know, if you describe yourself on the main start, you're "quite the ladies' man". but on the zombie start, the describe yourself link could read that you "have rotting eyeballs, broken items, and a torn open abdomen, which makes you quite the zombie ladies' man". Just a suggestion. --Trar (talk|contribs|grueslayer) Mchammer.gif 21:35, 30 September 2008 (UTC)

Ladies and gentalmen,

Me and BlueYonder will be editing Grueslayer, in lieu of the dereliction that has been plaguing this game. He won't be joining the GS DEV TEAM unless you all come back. I mean, what's the point of posting here anymore? You won't be coming back for a while, right? --Trar (talk|contribs|grueslayer) Mchammer.gif 17:03, 18 October 2008 (UTC)

I understand. T'was a good few months, Trar, but I don't think the others are coming back. Grueslayer started out ambitiously, but we all got lazy. Referring to "you all" is a little meaningless, as there's only really you and me left. Here are the last times all the implementors save you and me contributed to Uncyc (as of 21 October 2008).

Hey, Trar...so, if we're going to work together, I'll have to know what you had in mind for the plot. Who's U-Gene? Do you have any specific characters or locations in mind? How long do you want the whole thing to be? This'll be the way to start, I think. BlueYonder GalaxyIcon.jpg - CONTACT

U-Gene is the Ur-Grue, I think. Marshal Uncyclopedian! Talk to me! 23:35, 23 October 2008 (UTC)

5 or so chapters for Easy Mode. Intermediate mode will be 4.9 chapters, and Hard Mode will probably be all one chapter. --Trar (talk|contribs|grueslayer) Mchammer.gif 22:11, 24 October 2008 (UTC)

Quick chapter 3 partial plot idea

Okay, I have an idea. Early in the chapter, the Grueslayer will encounter a grue assassin, known as Grue 47, aka the Hitgrue. He will, of course, be in a disguise, which the GS will see through. Grue 47 will be a miniboss, with a multi-link fight sequence of its own. After defeating Grue 47 with a set of quiet (scalpel and such) attacks (anything loud will alert the guards, leading to a failure) finished with a certain pancake fork, the Grueslayer will loot 47's corpse, and get a second pistol, silencers for both of his pistols, ammo, and a garotte made of non-metal detector alerting wire. Certain parts of the chapter will have to do with assassinating people and grues with the looted weapons to get closer to saving the deputy. How does this sound? Marshal Uncyclopedian! Talk to me! 00:45, 24 October 2008 (UTC)

Sounds good. --Trar (talk|contribs|grueslayer) Mchammer.gif 22:08, 24 October 2008 (UTC)
But would Grue 47 be hired by the Ur-Grue, AKA U-Gene? Maybe the second half of CH3 would be a cat-and-mouse game with U-Gene and his subordinates. --Trar (talk|contribs|grueslayer) Mchammer.gif 01:10, 25 October 2008 (UTC)
47 would be hired by the Ur-Grue to assassinate the Grueslayer and preferably not alert all the guards in the area. Marshal Uncyclopedian! Talk to me! 21:54, 25 October 2008 (UTC)
Okay, I've added more plot and the 47 fight is about to start. The planned order of attacks to win is: block knife with scalpel, attack with ronalds's sword, and automatically pancake fork the guy. After that, to make stealth required, the Grueslayer will be framed for the killing of many people in the lounge (already seen in a couple of deaths). Marshal Uncyclopedian! Talk to me! 23:00, 25 October 2008 (UTC)
Sounds good. You write it, i'll revise it. --Trar (talk|contribs|grueslayer) Mchammer.gif 00:15, 27 October 2008 (UTC)

NEW WORLD ORDER

Since we're (slightly) active again, I shall proceed (read: attempt) to flex my royal pectoral powers, and make a new, probably temporary, regime. This will not go in the info page, btw.

FIRST OF ALL, BlueYonder is an Implementor now. 'Nuff said.

SECOND, and I'm not really sure about this, we have roles. You all are drafters, you make pages, pitch ideas, and such. I am an editor. I help fix all the stuff you make, and give ideas and improvements. Sure, I can make stuff and you can edit it, it's just what I just said we'd be doing (1-3 sentences ago) is just our primary role. Our titles of Creator and Implementor and all the things that go with them are still applied, though. Yeah, I know, sounds Imperialist, but that's life.

THIRD, if ANY of the old team comes back, you treat them normally, outside of the welcoming back message that will be undoubtedly be posted here. That is, they are expected to get back into the groove, albeit at their own pace.

--Trar (talk|contribs|grueslayer) Mchammer.gif 01:25, 25 October 2008 (UTC)

I still think we should have chapter-specific death pages. Easy mode is meant to be easy, after all. —PongoV2(talk|cont) 10:48, 26 October 2008 (UTC)
