Cum-guzzling homo[edit source]

Look, I'm sorry that your article got NRV'd, but you're going about this the wrong way. There are two reasons it got the NRV stamp, 1) It's name is Cum-guzzling homo, that's just weird. 2) It's pretty short, and could use some expansion. If you made it longer, you might not have to worry about it get deleted. And even if this one does end up going, you can always write another article. Maybe choose a different topic next time, though =] HOMESTAR ME!!! TURTLE ME!!! t o m p k i n s  blah. ﺞوﻦ וףה ՃՄ ண்ஸ ފއހ วอฏม +տ trade websites 05:09, 19 March 2006 (UTC)

Thanks for the note, like I said it was already a red link so I didn't choose the name. I was just turning a red link blue, it was already a link. Anyway, no big deal. Just sort of offputting, I'm not sure how much work I want to put into it when it may be deleted. I should have picked another red link I guess. Rx freerangelove 05:16, 19 March 2006 (UTC)
Better luck next time... not that you can't still save this one. HOMESTAR ME!!! TURTLE ME!!! t o m p k i n s  blah. ﺞوﻦ וףה ՃՄ ண்ஸ ފއހ วอฏม +տ trade websites 05:17, 19 March 2006 (UTC)
Thanks, we'll see what happens! I appreciate the note....Rx freerangelove 05:31, 19 March 2006 (UTC)

(cross-posting this response in case you don't know to look on my talk page)

Nice welcome, I found this site, thought it was fun. So I see a red link in sport and turn it blue. I come back and see NRV on it. It's not a really positive way to greet newcomers, unless you don't like newcomers. Shrug. Rx freerangelove 05:04, 19 March 2006 (UTC)

Please understand that there are dozens of short non-encyclopedic articles created every day by people who will never return to fix them and which no one else will ever touch. If we just let those slide our site would be overflowing with short unfunny articles and you would never be able to find the good stuff. To avert this we use NRV, which goes on nearly every short article, and allows us to automatically delete articles if no one cares to fix them up in a week. If you expanded your article to be more than two or three jokes then I would be happy to see it stay. "No redeeming value" doesn't mean that the article has no value, only that what value it has is overshadowed by other issues like length. If you stick around I think you will find that the admins can be very reasonable: even the fact that someone cares about whether an article lives or dies is often enough to save it. ---Quill.gifRev. I understand and I should have been more sensitive to that, I'm active on Wikipedia and have deleted more crap/etc than I care to think about. I probably over-reacted, I was surprised but I probably shouldn't have been. Thanks for the response. Rx freerangelove 05:56, 19 March 2006 (UTC) (cross posted also)
