Rivethead / Goth[edit source]

I just wanted to point out that Rivetheads are the natural predators of Goths... Rivetheads who claim to be Goths aren't Rivetheads, they're Whiny goth bitches who wish they were rivetheads... Oh, and most Rivetheads, (Myself included) would gladly stomp the fuck out of you for associating them with Facist movements such as the National Socialist Party (Nazis) if it weren't for the fact that you (had better be) are doing it as a form of satirical parody. --Mindsunwound: (F@H) Pissing Vinegar PupX.jpg There 2cents.PNG 18:22, 3 May 2006 (UTC)

Relax. I myself am a devout rivethead, and I know how fucking annoying the stereotypes are. And myself nor any of my industrial acquintances associate themselves with totalitatian or anti-semetic ideals, though I am an extreme leftist. As for stomping people do death, stick with ravers and trendy kids. Like emos, mallgoths, mallcores, babybats... Postpunk gothic and Darkwave are so underground and closely related to the industrial subculture now, that there's no need for animosity. I myself am a fan of gothic rock, although industrial comes first. I'd also like to note that we should stomp to death anyone that thinks synth pop or "industrial metal" is industrial, or that Rammstein did not just completely copy Laibach, in their own substandard way. Knowing how to make fun of the things you love is important though.
And also, rivetbread would be a cool thing to have.

Don't worry I understand the whole "humor" thing... otherwise I probably wouldn't come here... and political association among we rivetheads is as varied in our tribe as any other... I myself am an Utopian Anarchist... if you don't know what that means, I love to pontificate... just catch me in #Uncyclopedia on IRC... Nazism is a bit of a sore subject among rivets though... many of us shave our heads, wear jackboots, leather, and other accoutrements that the facists would love to use to recognize their own... to tell the truth, I've been out of the underground for about 8 years now, I remember throbbing gristle, coil, and many of the others that pioneered the Genre... I was there for the L.H.P.O. and saw the genre grow from Noise Theory, to Industrial Disco, and then branch out into Industrial, Synth-Pop, Industrial Metal, and Goth... most people don't realize it but all of it was rooted in Punk... Industrial is a SubGenre of Punk, and the others mentioned are a sub-Genre of Industrial, and whether it is Neitzer Ebb, Fear Factory, KMFDM, Die Krupps, Depeche Mode, White Swan, Skinny Puppy, Tool, or Marilyn Manson, I've been a fan of all of the incarnations, and offspring of Industrial's rich history and subculture... except for Emo bitches... they can go to hell for just being whiney wannabe grunge bands in makeup... but I digress... what was the point anyway? oh yes... Man is the machine. and we are all the gears grinding to destruction.
Postscript, You don't have to respond on my talk page :) I watchlist EVERYTHING... Oh, and welcome to Uncyclopedia... a word of advice though... don't limit yourself to just music... expand your content free horizons... --Mindsunwound: (F@H) Pissing Vinegar PupX.jpg There 2cents.PNG 03:15, 4 May 2006 (UTC)

I acknowlege industrial's origins in punk... and that pretty much all of the music I like comes from punk. It's to the point where I just consider it all as punk... it's mainly industrial, goth, and electroclash anyway. For as primitive as punk was, it was probably one of the most influential music movements ever to hit.. I like to explore the origins of the movement, and I admire you for being around back then. I'd like to have been around to go to a TG show or to see the rise of Coil. I just don't like it when genres are blended with things that they don't belong with... because then entropy runs it's course and we forget what it was originally all about. It's also good to feel connected. Besides my aggrotech group, my only conenction to the industrial subculture is my elitism. And Emo is WAYYYYY worse than grunge. It's gonna be impossible to get rid of. It's already polluted almost every other genre of mainstream music. And as for the man is the machine thing.... Man is the battery that powers the machine. We are the rivets in our own chains. We are a tool for the divine architect, and nothing more.
Basically the only nonmusic article I've ever made is the Vas Deferens thing. And sorry to offend with the rivethead article... As far as politics go, I'm a socialist, but I base my beleifs mainly on nihilism and deism. I'm not the biggest fan of antisemitism and totalitarianism, though it is interesting to explore Hitler's rise to power. I think totalitarianism is more or less a tool to establish order, enabling the one who weilds power to either abuse it, or create their own Utopia.
