Zachary John Quinto (born June 2, 1977) is an American actor, film director, poet, musician and photographer. He is best known for his role of Sylar on the original Television series Heroes, and for his reprisal of this role in various movie and television spin-offs. Quinto also played the role of Spock in the 2009 reboot of the Star Trek franchise. From this point on, his life began to show major parallels with those of Leonard Nimoy, the actor who originally played Spock.

In his earlier career, Quinto was unhappy about being solely thought of in terms of his character on Heroes, prompting him to write his first autobiography: "I Am Not Sylar".
Later, he began to recognise the positive effect of his reverence amongst Heroes fans and wrote his second autobiography: "I Am Sylar".
