The Easter Bunny Rendering Accident of 1954 was a mishap involving that year's Easter Bunny, CarrotTop CCXVI, and the gelatin-production process used in the manufacture of Peeps marshmallow confections. Need we say more?

In the years since--due in large part to a lawsuit filed by Mildred Abernathy of Henderson, West Virginia, who purchased and consumed in its entirety (in one sitting) the only package of Peeps known to have escaped the assembly line immediately following said accident--magical pixie dust has replaced gelatin in the manufacture of the Easter varieties of Peeps.
